7th day and still no Toontown

Windows 98 and ME users are still unable to pick a toon to play. We're going on Day 7. You'd have thought something like this would have been resolved by last weekend.

If this isnt fixed with the weekly maintenance (and it would be pretty outrageous to expect paid customers to wait a week for regular maintenance to get back in), we have to seriously question whether they are stringing us along to keep our money instead of telling us they changed the game's requirements.

We already know their system requirements page is bogus. It says the game runs on IE, Firefox, and (gadzooks) Opera. Would they have been so fiendish as to copy and paste code from POTC into Toontown and shut out a chunk of their membership without advanced warning?

Well, I'm taking all sorts of action if this isnt fixed after the break.

I strongly agree. I have been having this problem also. It's rediculous how they are delaying. I reported this bug NUMEROUS times and they only say they're looking into it. They should be FIXING it. It's almost been 2 weeks since the problem started.

I had the exact same problem, so i emailed TT and this is what I got:

To manually uninstall the game:
- Click on the 'Start' button- Click on 'Run...'
- Type this in, including quotes: "C:\Program Files\Disney\Disney Online"
- Click 'OK' NOTE: This should open up a new window
- Click once on the folder labeled 'Toontown' and/or 'ToontownOnline' depending on if you use the new Launcher program to log in
- Press the 'Delete' key on your keyboard- Click 'Yes' to confirm

then you reinstall it and it works. hope it helps.

Here is what you need:
Windows XP(Windows 98 and ME computers ARE TOO OLD FOR TT)
A NVIDIA video card
Acsess to internet explorer 6.0 or above(Other company internet browsers can't let you go to TT gameplay anyway)
ActiveX

Step 1ownload a NVIDIA video card if you don't have one.NOTE:This will not be included for those who has computers with NVIDIA already!

Step 2:Open the internet

Step 3:Go to a toontown site(for this tutorial,I'll use Mobius kids TT site)

step 4:sign up

step 5:If you don't have ActiveX,a yellow box appears and you are teleported back

step 6:Install ActiveX

step 7:Then you have no bug of that already!

P.S:I did this also when I was angry/sad about the black screen bug.

P.S.S:When I had a black screen bug,it lasted only for 6 months!O_o

4/5 try harder next time
