Cannot pick up tasks

This Bug has been posted a while ago by Paintbrush because I was too lazy to do it myself

Here is the problem. I just finished training for Lure and got that gag. For my next gag training, I selected Sound, but for some odd reason, it shows I'm training for Toon-Up. The problem is I already finished training for that gag and have it at level 4. I collected all the tracks, regardless, and now that I'm finished, I cannot pick up any tasks.

I tried visiting many HQs and I went to every shop toon that I have been to before. No solution there. I tried visiting other buildings in the playground without success.

The good news: I just got an email from Disney and they said this problem had been identified and will be fixed in their next patch.

Gosh, as we were chatting tonight, I hadn't realized we were having the same problem. I took the sound track, as soon as I finished I went back so I could do the "big task" they always give you at the end of those, and it wouldn't give me one. I thought that it was because I already had one task so I didn't think much of it. I finished that task and now it won't let me get a new one either. Tomorrow is another day though, and hopefully it will be fixed by then. TTYL and see you in TT.

the sad thing is this has been around for a very long time. I reported this about a half a dozen patches ago or more. Im glad they are getting around to finaly fixing it.

Now this bug has found his way to me... 4 empty tasks and no chance to get a new one... did someone already found a solution? I tried different Districts, HQ's, Streets, Restart, Reboot, Reinstall... nothing helps.

The only solution is to wait for the patch tomarrow.

They have known about this problem for a long time now (early b2). i had no tasks once showing up when i pressed the end key, but when i looked in the book it said i had to deliver something.

After the release of most recent patch [sv1.4.7] I logged into the account and found that I can now pick up Just-for-Fun tasks. But the bug is still there, with fresh decorations of course :)

I no longer play that old cat Verbose, instead I created a new mouse Verbose and now it's 61 LPs, I think.

I felt sad in the past because I can't stay in the game for long stretches, so I level up slowly. And after I managed to reach 52 with old Verbose, I get the bug.

My toon is not being offered any tasks.

I finished training for lure gags. That went fine, but I noticed I was only offered 'for fun' tasks. I did several of those and now I cannot get anyone to offer my toon any tasks at all. I also noticed that I no longer have the ability to go to Donalds Dock via my map.

This is a very serious bug.

How did this happen? Should I just give up on this toon?

Wait till next Tuesday if you have not seen a response from Disney. See if a Server side patch does anything. Also would be happy to help you finish up your required Tasks to get a new Toon up and running.

This original thread was started 2 months ago and since then the bug was supposed to have been fixed.

The BEST way to get an answer is to contact Disney from the tt website about it. If it truelly is a bug then they can fix it for you. They are really great about stuff like that. They were even bale to recover Mac's toon for him after his 4 year old deleted it. If they can do that I'm sure they can help you guys out.

I do know you won't get final gag training offered until you have completed all of your other compulsory tasks for that area. In each area you will need to complete tasks for more laff, a bigger gag bag, carry more jellybeans, and teleport to that playground before you can do final gag training. If you have already done those and still aren't getting offered final gag training then contact Disney ASAP. If you have NOT finished those tasks for your current PG and you're not being offered them so that you can complete them, contact Disney ASAP.

(The problem with toon-up was worse in beta, a buch of people had it)

Thanks for your reply Miss BBP. My problem seems to be a little different from the original one. I completed the final gag training for lure and have not been offered to choose my next track. I had already completed the tasks for laff points, a bigger gag bag, more jellybeans, and teleport access to Donalds Dock. Somehow though I no longer have teleport access to DD. I had it and used it, but it's not there any more.

I had already reported this problem on the TT bug report page on Tuesday, but have not heard anything from them. I just sent a message with the contact page you linked, and will wait to hear.

I'm just guessing here but, you mention finishing TP to Donald's Docks so are you now in Daisy Gardens? If yes, there is no gag training to be had there. Once you finish and move on to Minnie's Melodyland, you will be offered training for a new gag line.

No clue whatsoever why you were able to use your TP and now can't though. That definately sounds buggy and I hope Disney gets back to you quickly on it!

Well the good news is it will be used on your next gag training so you will learn a new track as soon as you start it! Happened to me once
