That has happened to me 5 times already today. i was just going to post a thread about it when i saw it. What would happen would be my toon needs to recover 6 caviar from mr hollywoods. when he encounters one, and when it attacks, it restarts the computer EVERY time it attacks. I just got done sending a bug report to toontown. Hopefully they get it fixed so i can finnally be done w/ the brrgh!

Both of my PC's had this issue. Make sure you do a Bug report as soon as you get back on TT (do it before you log on to play). Explain exactly what your PC does (e.g. my PC restarted by itself while doing ..). TT will probably come back and tell you that you need an updated video driver.
My one PC needed an updated Nvidia card. If that is the case you need to go to the Nvidea website since Windows does not have the most current driver. Follow their directions (or have someone help you if you do not understand). One importand thing if you do this is that you probably will have to turn off your Security system or it interferes with the installation (I know my friend had this issue, but I didn't have any problems since we turned ours off for installation). If the problem still continues after this, continue sending bug reports and mention WHAT you have already done to try to fix the problem. The second PC (a laptop with an ATI card), still crashed even after we tried to install a newer driver from ATI's site. However, the supposedly newer driver didn't work on our PC so we had to switch back to the previous one. I explained to TT what I had done and that the PC was still crashing . This time TT came back with another message. Most was still about updating drivers and checking internet conections (the standard reply), but the last bit was about how to play in OPEN GL mode. I can't explain what it is (except it makes it so you bypass your video driver in some way). I had my hubby do this and I played that PC last night without and crashes. Good luck! |

my problem is that both N'vidia and Dell needs to get together and update Dell's driver list (like that will ever happen the product is at least 2 years old) as that is behind in version #.. So I'm trying to sort through N'vidias site till I find a semi-compatable driver for my laptop.
