Angry Graphic Driver Problem

After dealing with dial up and getting kicked off I am now on Cable
After slow movement in toontown I am now on a XP 256 RAM computer
After getting kicked out of buildings, leaving friends, and seeing the message that my Graphic 3D Card could be the problem I am now running g-force 4 MX440-8x
Now Disney tells me I need more RAM
I just want to play
any suggestions before I go back to the store??

Have you upgraded to Direct X 9 and redownload Macromedia Flash?
Also reinstall your video card just in case it's corrupt.

You won't be sorry upgrading your ram though, your whole system will run better, but I somehow doubt that is why you are getting booted.

Make sure you have nothing running while your playing the game, I used to get booted when a weather program I had installed updated itself.

I doubt it's your RAM, but I'd add more anyway. Doesn't XP require 256M to install. AS cheap as it is, throw some more in there. I once had a problem with games crashing with a g-force card. Turns out my motherboard wouldn't support it. I use an old 64M OEM video card, and it works fine.

Cool

Hope you get it fixed soon, sis! Tired of being left alone in those buildings! Ha!

You poor thing! It sounds like you've been through the ringer on this. It shouldn't be this hard!

I was having similar problems with getting booted off all the time (like 3-4 during a half hour!!!). I was on DSL and running on a year old PC with XP 256 RAM and Disney suggested it might be my video driver. Well, it ended up being static on my phone line!

If you have linebacker service (or whatever your phone company might call it - where you pay so much every month and then if something goes wrong, they have to fix it for free), call the phone company and have them check your lines.

It took me 2 visits from the DSL company, where they replaced the DSL modem 1st and then blamed the wiring 2nd, a visit from the linebacker crew, who replaced a jack, but not the wiring and another visit where I finally got them to replace the wiring and install a seperate jack and NOW it doesn't happen to me anymore! (Except for my time and the cost of having the additional jack installed all of this was free).

*** To all those Toons I left stranded on the 5th floor (inevitably!), my sincerest apologies - it wasn't my fault. To all those I refused when asked to "Go take over a Cog Building!" (about the only time I'd ever get booted), now you know why. I didn't want to have you counting on me, only to leave you high and dry when you needed me the most and I got booted again. Again, I'm sorry - BUT I'm all better now - finally!

(except on a different game *hint* planetside) i downloaded the game and it was about 1200 mb..... ugh... so i got it and it said i needed more ram to play it.... 268.... so a few days later i got another card and now i have 512 ram... and i got a Eg-force 4.... then..2 day later my demo ran out... so then i watch disney chanel for a bit and see the toon town comercial! so i was like ''wow it finally came out?'' cause i remember it from like 2 years ago at disney world in epcot (it was originally a tag game where you can get goofy, minnie, donald or mikey) and played it with 3 other people right beside you.....soooo thats how i ended up here!

Unhappy

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I have reinstalled Toontown, my 3-d card and Macromedia Flash. I turn everything off except Norton and still having problems. The cable line is not through the phone line and was just installed 2 months ago. Maybe my settings are not right?? Like the Active X settings Guess I will try the RAM thing. Any other suggestions?? I want a speed chat that says "Sorry my computer kicked me off"
