Thumbs down Bug in the game or bug in my puter?

I posted this in the Playground as well....I hope no one gets too mad at me for it. But here it is.....

Hey all!
I have been having some issues with TT recently. I guess its been the past 2 or 3 days and its getting hard to complete high lv buildings and go on a fac. run. And here is why......

I am playing....minding my own. Defeating a building, getting gags, whatever....anyway.....my game just totally boots me out! It really comes at some inopportune times as well.....(ie. was on the 4th lv cog building 4th floor, one cog almost done for and boom!) Afterwards it takes me to the "thanks for playing" page. Not even an error page.

I have tried numerous things, such as:
Rebooting the game
Rebooting my puter
Uninstalling and Reinstalling the game
System Restore
Disk Clean up
Disk Defrag
Removing unused progs off my harddrive...

I am currently running on 1GB of RAM w/ 80gb Harddrive space.
What in the world is happening? It's making me NOT want to play

Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Lady Violet Cheezysticks

PS. It's also really terrible when I am trying to help a toon or another toon is trying to help me and I just leave.....its rude, but not my fault

What exactly is happening? To help I need to know exactly what toontown is doing, and I need to know if you installed anything new over the past couple days + your graphics card and how much memory it has

As for installing new software or anything new on my puter....no I haven't...the specs of my graphics card I do not know.

All I can say is this computer is only 3 months old. I didn't have any problems at all until about 2 or 3 days ago and it just kicks me out. It doesn't take me back to the "pick a toon" screen, completely boots me and takes me to the "thanks for playing" site.

The only thing that happened about a week ago was...I was logging into TT and I could hear music, but there was a black screen and box that said something about frequency that had to do with my monitor. I fixed that all up and it was working fine for about 2 days.

I am not sure what else I can say about it as I am no computer whiz. I know a few things off hand, other than that I am a dope lol

Well there are two alternatives of what you have to do:

1. Update your graphics drivers, go to windows update, download direct x 9
2. if you bought a dell, my friend just got a new one , and he has many problems with it, call dell.

Im pretty sure its your graphics drivers are out of date. Since you cannot find out what your graphics card is. Email toontown and tell them your problem, they will send you a link to the download for the newest graphics drivers for your system

Outdated graphics drivers can still run the program, but run more errors and run slower.

Im sorry, but I have alot of experience in computer enginnerring, im pretty sure its the graphics driver

I've got the bug too !!!!!

I'm having the same problem as Violet Cheezysticks. More specifically, I can count on being kicked out of the game without warning after 48 miniutes of play. It is so consistent that I start a stop watch so I know how much time I have left before being booted out, it is always approx. 48 minutes.

I tried updating to direct x 9.0 as suggested by Bfoot045 but I still get kicked out, again after 48 minutes. I've sent my latest game log to the Disney techs to see what they can come up with. (Might take a couple of days.) If I get a positive result I'll post it here.

Bfoot045, if you have any other suggestions or if I can provide any other info, it would be appreciated. Thanks for making your experience available here.

This happened to be on one of our computer (family computer). Try turning off the background music. For some od reason when I did that it stoped d/c'ing me.

I tried turning on the music in the middle of the game and it close out. Dunno if that will help because your geting d/c (program not closing out for no reason) but its worth a try I guess.

You could also try closing other programs in your system tray as well. Or you could try swapping out your network cable leading from your computer to the wall. If that doesnt work, it my be your internet ISP.

I've been having serious lag issues on Toontown the last day or so - so has my cousin in another state - so we believe there are issues with the network around Toontown or with the servers themselves.

Thumbs up It Works !!!!

Thanks LittleLemonPop for the 'turning off the background music' tip. I just played for two straight hours for the first time before voluntarily logging out of the game myself.

Call me for a building anytime !

Ginger Sparkleton has been booted out of Toontown and off the computer three times this week in the middle of factory runs. Sometimes this has happened in the warehouse, sometimes in the silo. It is very annoying.

This computer is very new (almost a year old) and very powerful, and we haven't had this sort of problem before, so I wonder if it could have something to do with Toontown????
