Unhappy Not sure where to put this so here it be....

Hey all!
I have been having some issues with TT recently. I guess its been the past 2 or 3 days and its getting hard to complete high lv buildings and go on a fac. run. And here is why......

I am playing....minding my own. Defeating a building, getting gags, whatever....anyway.....my game just totally boots me out! It really comes at some inopportune times as well.....(ie. was on the 4th lv cog building 4th floor, one cog almost done for and boom!) Afterwards it takes me to the "thanks for playing" page. Not even an error page.

I have tried numerous things, such as:
Rebooting the game
Rebooting my puter
Uninstalling and Reinstalling the game
System Restore
Disk Clean up
Disk Defrag
Removing unused progs off my harddrive...

I am currently running on 1GB of RAM w/ 80gb Harddrive space.
What in the world is happening? It's making me NOT want to play

Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Lady Violet Cheezysticks

PS. It's also really terrible when I am trying to help a toon or another toon is trying to help me and I just leave.....its rude, but not my fault

From what you said it doesn't sound like your computer's very old.....well.....I honestly don't know. Everything you're doing has to do with your computer. Disk cleanup does nothing for your internet connection. Do you have dial-up? if so, then try this:
1. Make sure your connection is secure
2. Ask your dad to make sure everythings working with your server(unless your an adult)
3. Or, if really needed, contact your internet host (AOL, MSN, ect.)

If you have Adelphia Powerlink like me, you have mad speed and never have any problems like that.

I am actually on a Cable Internet Connection and until a couple days ago the game was running smoothly.....my internet connection out of game is fine

I really want to get back in game and sign out when I want to.....ya know?

I decided I am not going to play until this is resolved as I am sure it is very unnerving for those who I am trying to help or vice versa.

By the way, I am 25yrs old hehe.....
If i called my dad he would laugh and have no clue what the heck I was talking about lol

My computer is VERY new. Just got it about 3 months ago.

25 years old! My bad! You can slap me now! There you go. In that case you might know more on the situation than I do! I was thinking when I typed that last post 'If Violet Cheezysticks is an adult I'll feel like a complete idiot. OH well. At least Violet'll laugh! " Well....the only thing I can think of is trying to contact toontown (their phoneline, or email, or online chat thingy).

Ok...I have timed how long it takes for me to get booted about 4 times....and each time it came up between 40-42 minutes. This is wierd....I can play....I actually got 2 more 4lv buildings I needed, but right after that I was booted and taken to the "Thanks for Playing" page....

Well, either way I need to figure this out. Its quite bothersome

I am off to bed now......

Maybe my TT addiction is coming back to bite me in the hiney :P

Yesterday I disconnected from TT during a VP battle. When I tried to log on I discovered that my cable went out briefly. It came on while I was on with tech support and they determined that my signal is weak due to a bad splitter. Have your signal strength checked by your cable company, this should be available with a phone call.

Now I have to go to the store for a new splitter!

Ouch! I've had a splitter fail before. One of those things I don't think about checking.

Make sure that nothing else in your home shares the line to your cable modem. Your main cable line should be split: one line to your cable modem and the other line to the balance of cable services (i.e. TV and radio).

It also never hurts to check the simple things like removing your cable from your outlet and modem then re-attaching them.

Hope your back up and running reliably soon!

My modem is not shared, it is the splitter which the cable company installed (when we got digital cable) that went bad. I know what and where to get the replacement part, and where to put it. The pain was connecting my modem to the house line in the ceiling of my basement! I have set up and wired cable and computer networks at home and work.

My gut instinct here is to update the drivers on your graphics card. This can be caused by outdated drivers that create a memory leak and thus causes your system to crash. If you still have the problem then I would look at another program that is attempting to contact the Internet on a periodic basis, such as spyware, anti-virus, MS update etc.

OK all....

Thanks for all your replies.....

I have checked my splitter for my cable modem and also had my friend check it (he works for the cable co.) and he says that its fine.

I updated and re-updated my Video card driver a couple times and nothing.....

I am seriously running out of options.

I am afraid that I will never get to go to the VP because of this problem...

Unhappy :-(

i get disconected on a rather annoyingly regular basis now... i get the screen that tells me "you lost your internet connection" which isn't true. i live with my fiancee, we each have a computer, and there were times when he would be playing EQ on his computer, and i would be running AIM & WINMX as well as toon town, and NEVER had this problem. now all of a sudden, i'm not running those other programs, nor is his computer even on and BOOM, toon town disconnects me. it's a very recent thing {within the last two weeks} but it's annoying. i was doing a bunch of buildings with someone a little while ago, and twice, in two seperate buildings, i got disconnected. i felt so awful, i stopped doing buildings with people for a while. there as no way to express "there was an error"... everything is fine with my computer... i think it's a TT flaw, like the recent lag issues...

Lightbulb A few questions

1. What make of computer do you have?
2. What Operating system do you have?
3. Who is your cable Modem vendor?
4. Any new programs loaded before this happened, anything?
5. Are you connecting via a Network Card or USB to your cable modem?
6. What kind of video card due you have and how much memory on it?

With your 40-42 minute disconnect going on consistently but your internet connection staying live need to know a couple of things to possibly help.

see, i don't think any of that matters. i haven't added any new programs, and if anything, i'm treating my bandwidth better now than i ever have... why after over a year of toon town would it just start acting up now?
