Talking After a year

Well during that year software and hardware has changed, the computer has been used continually, i.e., wear and tear on it. Getting specific information can help isolate what may be causing the issue. Just as an example, hardware and software vendors don't test all models, they take a sampling and it seems if one goes through the threads that after every update, someone come's up with a problem with ToonTown. Now it's not known for each and everyone what make, model or other specifics are known, but the more information given the better the help can be. Just recently Flash came out with an update due to Memory and Stability issues. Have you updated your flash player? As we all know, you have to have flash to run Toontown. So the more specific the information you can provide, maybe the quicker the problem can be resolved.
If you do a search here there are at least 161 threads with "computer problems" in them and alot have gotten help because of the specific information they have provided. So If you think it doesn't matter, your choice, sorry for trying to help.

well i certainly didn't mean to come off rude... please don't take it that way... when my fiancee gets home, i'll have him answer the questions.. i will admit, i'm not exactly sure what's in my computer right now... but he will, since he built it.

Ditto, I would be glad to help. If you need help to find out what is in there post. There are ways you can look yourself. The reason for the information is answering blind problems can cause you more issues then you need. I don't want to do that. So when you have time Post away. Be glad to try and help.

Well if it is true that you are getting bumped 40-42 min into game. it is probly not a driver or memory leak, they artn't that regular, it would have to be another program that is running that is bumping you, check for spy/ad ware, turn off windows update.

One other option is you ISP, you don't run into it as much as you used to but your isp may be cycling your conection to discurage the use of your computer as a server

It really comes at some inopportune times as well.....(ie. was on the 4th lv cog building 4th floor, one cog almost done for and boom!) Afterwards it takes me to the "thanks for playing" page. Not even an error page.

Can anyone help?
Thanks!

I have had the SAME PROBLEM since the last update. I have never been booted back to the toon town start up page so many times! I have tried fixes like you, but nothing is working. I tried the online chat with Disney, but it didn't seem to be working. I will email them. Since you mentioned the time thing, I think I will log out right before I do VP, so I don't get logged out in the middle. Thanks for the time tip. I got booted yesterday right before VP and then right after, thank goodness not during. : ) It seems like there is a compatibility issue with the last update. I hope they fix it, cause YIKES this is NO FUN!

Hyperthreading

I had a simlar problem it seemed my computer was booting me out at 54 min on the dot. So I send in that bug report and they tell me I have 2 processors (which I don't) and that there's a problem with dual-processors and to disable the sound in my shticker book and let me know if it works. So I disable my sound and boom I'm back in action. Upon further research some programs report a processor with hyper-threading as a dual processor (since it's kinda like dual processor emulation). I updated my sound drivers and was able to turn the sound back on. Creative sound blasters don't seem to like hyper-threading. A bunch of sound cards seem to be having problem with the hyper-threading technology. It doesn't seem to cause any problem except when dealing with games and direct x.

Just some food for thought for those of you with the issue. Try turning off the sound in your shticker book and update your sound card drivers.
