"Back" Gag selection bug

When doing battle with other toons, before all select a gag, you have an oppotunity to change your mind via the "back" button (Blue Left Arrow - see attached). It seems to work before other Toons make their selection, but frequently with one left undecided/unselected you click the button and nothing happens. You then are thrown into the "battle"

Are we doing something wrong?

No, You're not doing anything wrong. IIRC, if the other toon selects "pass" you have no idea unless they tell you. Also, when the last toon to selct a gag, the battle starts. This is good and bad. Many times I have selected the same gag as another at the same time and it'd be overkill or another gag would assist and you don't get that chance to change. Its good because you don't have to wait for the clock like you do in an elevator.

I think what you mean is that when you pick a gag, then press back and, while you are changing your mind, the others pick their gags and target you find yourself in battle with the gag you just wanted to get rid of. In other words, you have to change gag really quick if you want it to work. Many a trap has gone up in smoke this way

The problem is annoying and has been addressed in the version which is now on the test servers so it should be a thing of the past soon.

Couldn't it also be a lag problem? I often give someone a toonup and only see the end of the joke not the begining. So maybe the last toon did choose a gag but you just didn't see it yet.

BTW, does everyone else suffer from lag? I can't run a block wihtout getting stuck in a lag. It is so frustrating! And I have a cable modem so I should be all that slow should I?

Yes, at some stage everyone gets lagged on TT. You will especially notice it on the "top" server/district listed in the schticker book - Sillyham - because that has the most toons. TT Central on that server is often really bad for lag.

My suspicion is that this is in part behind Disney's idea to boot toons that sleep for more than 10 minutes.

I'll leave the technical answers about why cable isnt necessarily that great to others who are better qualified.

Hrm, lemme check this again. I was sure that (in test) if I pressed back and before I changed my selection all others selected and targeted I would no longer find myself in battle with the gag I had moved away from. Instead I could take the time until the counter is down to select a new gag.

The bug that is definitely NOT fixed is that if you press back you can no longer se what the others have selected. Often two toons who choose to heal the same player or trap the same cog BOTH press back and change and end up not healing at all, double trapping a different cog, etc.
