Return task to cog building?

The building that I have to return my completed task is now a cog building.
Im not sure if this is a bug or not since Im a newbie to the game. I thought I had read somewhere that this was a bug but had been fixed. So is this a bug?

No, it's not really a bug, just some tough luck. You can always try changing districts to see if it is a normal toon building elsewhere. Or, you can round up some friends and take it down yourself. It can be quite satisfying that way...

The only Task-related buildings that are protected from Cog take-over are the ones on the Toontown Central streets. All other buildings are fair game for Cogs.

Like Corny_Dizzenberry says, you can simply change districts to find one were your building hasn't been taken over. Or, round up a group to take down the Cog-infested structure.

If anyone is interested, prior to sv 1.0.7, Cogs could take over ANY building, making things tough for noobie toons. A good thing, too, since 1.0.7 did a wipe on Toons and everyone was starting over from scratch. :)

After sv 1.0.7, Cogs couldn't take over any building associated with Toontasks.

In sv 1.0.31, Cogs could once again take over any building, except the ones in Toontown Central that are associated with Toontasks.

The number of toons that dont seem to realise the front of the scccchticker book contains a list of Districts (servers) you can swap to, is amazing.
That's one of the reasons the "top" server in the list is so crowded ... and hence why they are talking of booting off toons that sleep for 10 minutes.
... sometimes I sleep for 10 minutes because RL intervenes. Oh well, just have to practice my log-in skills.

This has happened to me twice, I thought the Cog's were just picking on me. I hadn't thought of changing districts, silly me!
