Push people bug... could be annoying

You can push people whilst they are AFK into a building or street ... simply walk up to them and nudge them repeatedly. This could cause death in worse case senerios. People marked "zzz" should NOT be able to be pushed. Malicious individuals will take advantage of this.

They do handsomely - so do less malicious people
Much forum space has been devoted to the issue. Open the book when you go AFK and you can't be moved.

or get to a safer place - like in the lake at DD or in the middle of the PG at MM or DL.

Just being in the middle of the PG, rather than on a sidewalk, makes you far less of a target. I've had someone push me out of the gag shop, but I'm sure that took a while - and I know which friend did it.. hehe

Useful side effect?

I made a slight error and stood too close the the edge of the pavement (sidewalk!) when I went AFK.

I got nabbed by a passing cog, and only the timely intervention of two friends saved me from certain sadness.

I agree, the safest place to go AFK is in the playground, or at a push, inside the nearest toon building.

Sometimes that's not possible, and I for one would like to give my friends the ability to push me to safety!

The nudging ability is a valuable ability to rescue afk toons from certain gloom!

I don't know how many times I have pushed toons BACK to the playground because they got knocked onto a street by someone else entering the street.

Of course if we are in DD I will not only push you back to the PG but also into the water so griefers can't put you back onto the street.

Best place to go afk? Go to the playground, face the wall and open your book. This has become a fairly widespread form to tell your friends you'll be back in a bit

Book closes again

Not everyone seems to be aware of this but if you open your book on the pavement in front of the exit of a cog bld, the first cog on the way out (whose path you are blocking) closes it and you will go into standard-ZZZzzz mode.

My Mood:
Two comments:
1. The future version of TT is apparently going to log off toons that sleep for 10 minutes.
- I can think of a couple of ways around that if I really want to avoid it, but who need the lag on Sillyham anyway?.
2. Why do people insist on calling these things (pushing toons, "flying" , clipping to the other side of walls) bugs?
To me they are actually unexpected features (sorry if that sounds like a quote from the Microsoft handbook). Even the pushing one only has the worst potential to make you sad (not "kill", sad).

Could someone point out to the Devs the difference between a flaw that hampers game play (eg the LP bug) and a fun curiosity?

</rant> I feel better now. And no, BFGP, I was not having a go at you for calling it a bug. I just wanted to clarify what I see as the difference between the two things.
