Extra Laffpoints in Cog Buildings

Sometimes after defeating a floor in a cog building, my toon gets gifted with a bonus laffpoint for no apparent reason.

Does anyone know why this happens?

It's because you are special. :-)

Actually, it's because someone gave you a toonup at some point on that floor. For some reason, the game sometimes waits to give you one of the toonup points until the end of the floor. I haven't heard a good explanation as to why, though.

That makes sense... in a very random sort of way.

Though it may explain why some of my friends report seeing toons that get taken down to, apparently, zero laffpoints but still survive the battle.
