My toon never did that before. But I did see another Toon do it. I was VP battling some while ago, and the first set of cogs came out. There was no 100's, 90's, etc on our side. Only one fifty, and she was the highest.
When she lost her laff, there were only two of us left. The otehr one was a forty one laffer. He didn't get hit. He just randomly took out a portal hole and hopped through it, and it was like he ran away...which I know you can't do inside a boss battle/building/factory, etc. in battle. |

Happens a lot, whenever my laff is lower than 30 when a toon goes sad I always think I will go sad as well because of this bug.. it has been around a while. Still hoping it will be fixed soon..

I've had this happen before too. Also when someone went sad next to me, even though I still had some laff points left, my toon whipped out the black hole and down I went back to the playground sad and gagless :/
Everytime someone goes sad next to me, I hold my breath, lol. |

I've seen this happen many times. I've noticed a pattern to this issues. Though don't know if it always happens or not and with lvl 7 gags don't really want to test it, but when the toon on the very right dies everyone get that phanthom hit and dies or at least the toon right next to them, I think I've been the 3rd or 4th in the line and died because of this.
I've also seen the opposite when the toon on the left dies and before we get to pick our gags we get a phantom toonup to full health even when no one has toonup because the cogs just finished attacking. Lisa |

That is so STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the same thing happend to ME! We went into a five story bldg in DDL. We all worked together on all the floors all the way up to the last floor. Then the cog did his attack and took out a 65 laffer! After he went back to the playground we were at 30 laff. Suddenly it made all of us go all the way to ZERO laff! If that stupid glicth haden't come we could of won!

I thought it happened quite a bit, and posted to see if any of you had any more insight than I did. Anyway, I e-mailed disney and this (surprise surprise) was the response:
Dear Toontown Guest, Thank you for your recent inquiry. Based on the information you submitted to us in your bug report, it appears that you may be experiencing some latency or "lag" in your Internet connection. Latency is determined by the amount of time it takes your computer to talk to the game server (commonly referred to as a "ping"). This has nothing to do with bandwidth, so even the high end broadband connections sometimes have latency problems. Latency is not something that can easily be changed. If you connect to the Internet through a proxy, that will greatly increase your latency since first you need to talk to the proxy then the proxy talks to the game server. If you are connecting through a proxy, please try disabling your proxy or contact your network administrator (or Internet Service Provider) for additional instructions on optimizing your proxy configuration. Through our experience, we have found that users that utilize high speed Internet connections (DSL, cable modems, and satellite) often experience less latency than those on dial-up connections. This may not be an option for all of our users or you may already be on a broadband connection, so another option is to keep your computer running smoothly. Also, Disney's Toontown Online utilizes the latest 3-D features of current video cards. It's helpful to stay current with your video card's latest software drivers. For additional gameplay stability, please see your graphics card manufacturer for the latest video drivers for your card. The graphics card installed on your computer is the Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family with drivers from 2/15/2005. You can also click on the following link to find out more about the specific equipment, such as 3-D cards, needed to play Toontown. http://play.toontown.com/faq/technical_3D.php We also recommend freeing up more RAM before starting Toontown. RAM (memory) stands for Random Access Memory. Toontown requires at least 128 MB (megabytes) of RAM, but we recommend 128MB-256MB to get the best experience. The message that you sent us indicated that you have 503.37 MB of RAM and are using 63%. It is important for the RAM you have in your computer not to be taken up by other programs. By closing other programs before entering Toontown, you will free up more RAM to be used by the game. Closing programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint will significantly free memory up for use by the game. To close these programs click on the X in the upper right hand corner of the program. You can usually upgrade the amount of RAM in your computer relatively easily. You can purchase and have RAM installed at your favorite computer store or through your computer vendor. We look forward to seeing you in Disney's Toontown Online again soon. Thank You, Leon Disney's Toontown Online Member Services Rant: Okay, I think by this point in gaming I KNOW what lag is, and that certainly wasn't it. OBVIOUSLY if it was a lag, I would not have seen myself throw a hole on the ground. If I saw anything at all, I would see my toon slumped over turning around, but NOOOOO thats NOT what happened. So, I certainly don't believe it to be a lag. I didn't e-mail to get a response, I e-mailed to alert you, (yet again) of a problem that you refuse to fix!!!! /rant Oy... I want to email this web-page to disney and make them read the responses of everybody with the same problem. Maybe they might admit it... |

That's a great idea! You're right, it's definitely not lag.
It seems to be on the top floor of a building during a desperate battle that is winnable. Just when you think you got it made, it hits. I've had it 3 times and always exactly the same situation. That's a pretty specific bug. |
