Merit Glitch?

I went to the Factory on my toon Ajouku (54 laff) with a high laff point toon and two others who were lower than me. Everything was going completely normal until we cleared out all the cogs except for the foreman. We were just about to go into the center room when the high laff point toon said, "Wait!" "I need more Merits." He opened up his shticker book, and just stood there. We all wanted to go and fight the foreman, but we knew we couldn't do it without him. Then he just starts jumping and when we say "Let's go" he just keeps telling us that he needs more merits and he wants us to wait. Finally we just go to the foreman without him. We were in trouble so we kept crying out for him to help us, and he just stands there and watches as we all lose our laff points. I had no clue what that toon was doing, but soon I just forgot about the whole thing... but a few days ago, the same thing happened. I went on my high laff point toon Spuff, and when we got to the foreman another toon told us to wait because he needed merits. He first opened up his shticker book, then started jumping, and then started doing emotions while jumping. Is this some kind of glitch or hack?

If you want more merits you have to wait for an invasion to happen. Then you get, I'm pretty sure, 2x the merits you were supposed to. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

These toons were asking you to wait for an invasion before activating the Foreman in the factory. Invasions double the merits, so you get 766 merits instead of 388 for a full factory run. There is no glitch or hack involved, the jumping and emotes were for the entertainment value.
