I have a brand new video card (Radeon x1600) and over 2BG of memory and I still get the shut down problem. Tried direct x vs 8, 7, and ogl modes with similar result. Drivers are curent too =/
I've been told to avoid going to the garden that it makes it much worse.

There are 2 possibilities, dust in your computer or a bad RAM chip. Try cleaning out the dust with canned air first. If that does not help, then please post in the Computer Technical Support forum and people can guide you in checking the RAM integrity.

Considering you're on a laptop...
Make sure wherever you're holding or placing it, the fans have enough room to work. For $20 you can buy aluminum pads for under your desk/lap that help disburse the heat.

It could be a graphics driver (I hate to say it; but it is possible)...
Does it happen randomly - or is it often at a specific points? For example, if there was a certain cog on the factory silo - one of their attacks used to trigger a crash/shutdown for lots of people |
