Talking It Works!

I finally got Toontown to work!!!! My daughter (8) is VERY happy this morning.

The final trick, after trying everything else suggested, including removing Avant, cleaning the registry, etc was to ...

Delete all offline content.

From within IE7, choose tools from the menu, then Internet Options.

On the first page of the control panel, click on Delete... under Browsing history. Then choose delete all (at the bottom). I also chose the check box on the dialog that pops up. Once that ran, IT WORKED!!

I've now done this on 2 computers.

Good luck.

tbernstein, you're a genius! I can play now too, yippee! Thank you so much for posting this fix - what made you think of dumping the browsing history?

ANd the big question - should we let TTo know of the fix, or make them squirm a bit longer????

Lightbulb The Brainstorm

As I was going to bed last night, it occurred to me that the same web page kept coming up over and over very quickly and that perhaps the result was cached locally. After so much frustration, I tried it this morning without much hope when, low and behold, it worked.

I am not planning on telling Disney. Their technical staff, knowing how their software works, should have been able to figure this out pretty easily and posted directions on their own FAQ. I also am still waiting for them to provide some form of compensation.

Jumps in the air... Hooray. I can't beleive that a simple fix like this fixed the whole problem. I was gonna start my TT account back up for my sisters the day after Thanksgiving, but it wouldn't work. Thanks a million for this idea, cuz TT is all my sisters have been talking about lately. And lol at the fact that your not telling TT about this fix. That is am awesome idea seeing as they were so quick to blame the problem on the Avant browser, or a bunch of other things on my computer.

I am not affected by TT recent upgrade, but I think this solution should be stickied in the forum, because it can get burried easily. Who knows how many more toons out there who are still scratching their head and having TT withdrawal symptoms!

Toontown needs to fix whatever update they did. We shouldn't have to do that. Its not our computers that need to be fixed, toontown needs to get there stupid heads in the game, and fix it!

Should we keep this bumped up on the first page, or has TTO actually fixed the problem?

Toontown Fixed the Browser Problem

I apologize. I have been so busy playing I didn't post again . btw I cj'd with Kitty Mama and we won!!! I was on my toon Alvin Bananadorf and we were with the ccg run. I didn't check Toontown on Sat. because I'd been on every day since the update with no luck. I checked on Sunday and was able to get right in. Anyone having the browser problems can play. THANK YOU DISNEY!!!

Thanks, Pixanator . It's great to be back on tt, and it was fun doing the ccg run at cj with you and Zippenzapper. I'm hoping we'll be able to do a lot of stuff now that tt is back and working. Have fun and hope you get maxxed in cj soon. You're soooooo close!! I've posted a new thread under Thanks for All Your Help!!! It really is great to be back.
