Couldn't create log?

The last few times I've tried to play Toontown, I reach the big blue Loading... screen and then this message pops up:

Couldn't creat log file 'C:\\WINDOWS\TEMP\ToontownInstaller.log'!

Anybody know what the heck that means?

I tried renaming my folder and reinstalling. It didn't reinstall, it just kept doing the same dratted thing.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

My first guess: You have too many files inyour Windows\temp folder. Older versions of OSes have a limit of 2,048 files in a folder, & I've seen people hit that. Solution: Go into the Windows\temp folder, sort by date modified, and delete anything more than one day old.

Second possibility: this isn't too likely, but if you have that file opened in an application, it can't be created. Best move is to go to the file & delete it (if it exists).

Third possibility: You could have a damaged area on your drive. Run Scandisk to check it.

My money is on #1 :)

Oh, yah, that reminds me...

Launch Toontown from one of the shortcts in TTwindow.zip, if you aren't already. Doing that will bypass any possible problems with launching through the browser (the Play button).

i'd have better punctuation and capitalization, only i dumped most of a can of diet coke into my keyboard this morning. things are a bit messed up.
