Dawg Father’s BC50 SOLO CEO!!!!
Ever since Boss was released back in March, there were lots of questions whether it would be the boss that no one could solo. Many were skeptical since many toons would go sad when they first encountered the CEO. After a few CEO battles I was planning to solo the CEO, but lots of my friends and I found the CEO to be too easy. All it took was minor coordination to help overcome the CEO. In being so, I decided to hold back on doing my solo CEO until I maxed Boss, just like I did with the CJ. Soloing the CEO at the last cogsuit level (BC50) would make it the most difficult CEO for a soloer (The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty. Cherry Berry and I double maxed Boss on June 7th, 2008. Waiter Round - Total time: 43 minutes In my solo CJ thread (Dawg Father's BW50 SOLO CJ!!!!), I described how luring and keeping the smaller cogs in line, while destroying the larger cogs, is the best strategy. I still believe that this strategy is best to help reduce the number of unites that must be used. Although there are really no “small” cogs in this battle, level 9 being the smallest; it still reduced the amount of damage that you take if you lure and keep a row of level 9 cogs, while destroying any level 10, 11, or 12s that come into battle. Lure seems to be more successful when luring a row of 9s versus a row of 11 or 12s. The waiter round was pretty easy. The only problem I encountered was that my lure did not want to work. There were a total of 40 V2.0 cogs that I faced, all ranging from level 9 to 12. During this round I used a combination of the luring strategy I outlined above along with using SOS cards. I used all of my level 7 gags, with the exception of presentation (saved it for the banquet battle). My opera was used on a row of level 10 cogs followed with a fog, while my geyser and organic wedding cake were used on a row of lured level 11 cogs. I used a few Franz Neckvein and a single Barnacle Bessie SOS card during this round, of which none of them missed. I also decided to use a Clerk Clara to help destroy one set of level 11 cogs, but decided not to use trap anymore since each cog had the opportunity of attacking me before I had the chance to destroy them. Banquet Round - Total Time: 54 minutes Since I entered the CEO as a BC50, I knew I would have a total of 13 tables with 5 cogs per table to feed; a total of 67 (65 feeding + 2 extra) cogs in the waiter round. All of these cogs were The Big Cheese Level 12 cogs. I was able to feed and destroy a total of 6 cogs, leaving me with 61 cogs to battle. I found this round to be just as easy as the waiter round, especially that I started using a lot of my pink slips. After firing the first of the extra 2 cogs, the cogs from the tables began to fly into battle. I lured this first set of cogs with my presentation (hoping it would work since my lure had been bad in the previous round), and fired one cog at a time. The presentation lure lasted for a total of 14 rounds. Next I started luring with goggles and firing one cog at a time for 4 rounds per lure, but then I realized this was taking a lot of time so I resorted to using Barnacle Bessie. During this round I used Barnacle Bessie 8 times. I would fog, allow the cogs to attack and follow up with a Barnacle Bessie SOS card. I would repeat this on the skelecogs as well. Not a single Barnacle Bessie missed. Boss Battle (Squirting Round) - Total Time: 41 minutes I was not at all worried about the CEO, because there have been plenty of CEO battles I have been in where I didn’t lose a single laff point. The only thing that worried me was getting run over, because I was still unsure if the CEO stays on top after running over a solo toon. Since I was unsure, I made sure to only hit the CEO with -2 damage each squirt, then jump off the table. The strategies I used while battling the CEO were quite simple. I chose to battle the CEO closest to the conveyor belts just in case the CEO did hit me early in the battle. I picked the 3 corner tables and rotated from one table to another throughout the whole battle. I would wait for the CEO to target me then I would jump on top of the table and squirt him with a -2 hit. I always tried to keep the CEOs back towards me as much as possible. Rotating from one table to another I was able to easily manage and overtake the CEO and not lose a single laff point. I finished the CEO with full laff! Out of any boss solo I have done, I feel this solo required the less skill overall. Although the CEO does consume the most time, I personally feel this is the easiest boss to solo. This solo overall requires endurance and not so much skill. Unites, SOS Cards and Pink Slips used for entire solo: TU Unites: 10 - 5 20 - 4 40 - 4 80 - 9 Max - 2 GU Unites: Lure - 3 Sound - 2 Throw - 4 All - 2 SOS Cards: Barnacle Bessie - 9 Franz Neckvein - 4 Lil Oldman - 5 Flippy - 2 Prof Pete - 3 Moe Zart - 3 Clerk Clara - 1 Pink Slips - 45 pink slips used I would like to thank all of my friends on TT and TTC for their inspiration, especially Simply Irresistible and Shashi for doing all those CEOs with me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Dogfather

I always knew you would do it! Congratulations, Steve, you totally deserve this.
As for the person who asked how many pink slips, you get 5 from a max suit run. So he only lost 40 in the end. Way to go! What's next? I think you've done everything possible in the game now. Want to join me on trying to max 4 toons the quickest with your own friends? LOL.

Anyone can do a solo. It just takes time to learn how to manage a boss and the time to collect SOS cards and unites. Quote:

Congratulations! Very informative as well. You are an amazing player! Just a few questions though, do you plan ahead of time, what kind of SOS cards, unites, and how much of each you might possibly be needing? Before the actual battle, do you plan step by step on what gags or strategies you are going to employ for each round?
