Lagging????

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to vent about the lagging that is going on in the CEO! Tonight we were getting on the elevator and the clock was down to about 20 seconds and the doors shut without a full load. We all ALT/F4 out. Then we finally get in and some of us can't see what gags the other toons are selecting to use or what cog they are using their gags on, so that's a big mess. Also, we had cogs that flew down that were transparent. During feeding time, we have trouble picking up the trays which sometimes can last up to 10 seconds or even more, which means those who are trying to feed the cogs can't feed either. One of my group members has been kicked off the last 3 times when it's time to squirt/golf the CEO. And it's from all the lagging. There are times when we can't get on the tables or get the snacks or get on the tees. I know if we complain to TT, they will put the blame on our computers and not themselves. BUT if it's OUR computers, then how come everyone in our group is experiencing the same problems AT THE SAME TIME!!!! And we also hear the random toons complaining by saying "Welcome to TT" or "Good Grief". I believe this is a TT issue that needs to be repaired. It's getting frustrating to alot of the toons in our group. I just hope something is done soon. I would like to hear from you guys to see that we aren't the only ones dealing with these issues. Sunday and Monday this week have been brutal in Nutty River. I've stood at an open door for about 15 seconds before going in, standing at an active golf cart and not jumping in until the timer reaches 0, etc. I won't be doing a CEO again until the latency dies down, because many features of it are being affected.

If you still want to try one in these awful times, here's a tip: If you touch a can of food but you don't pick it up, keep walking toward the Cog. It will fly toward you through the air eventually. The same works for Cogs. If you touch them and they don't take the food, just walk back to the conveyor belt. It also works for snacks during the seltzer round.

Yup, I've been having the same problem. Its been really bad lately. No matter where I am, I always see people saying "I'm Stuck".

Disney needs to do some maintenance on the site. It's been a while and it is starting to affect the other districts as well. Wish they could do something about the lag....And forget about Nutty River.....It's the worse....

Nutty river (and possibly other districts as well...idk) has been having serious issues lately.

-Timer going away at 10 seconds or less. Sometimes you don't even get to pick a gag even though it's at say 6 seconds or so.
-Gags taking FOREVER to show up when you pick them.
-Doors taking 10+ seconds to open.
-Cogs attacking when timer hits 0 even if there is someone still trying to get into battle (same with the cogs who haven't lined up yet)
-Timer running all the way to 0 after everyone has picked their gags at 15 seconds.
-Not being able to get onto an elevator. Kind of like an invisible wall between you and the elevator.
-Doors closing when there's still 10 or more seconds on the timer.
-You standing still after a cog battle (like in a mint or in a building) for 10 or more seconds after you dance.

The list goes on and on. Everything is completely screwed up and it really affects gameplay.

I submitted a bug report in regards to the "delay" that everyone seems to be experiencing. Its not lag since we can all still talk or do emotes. I even mentioned that in my bug report and that everyone is having the same problem as other toons are saying "im stuck" during the same times.

What did toontown say....

Best I can say is submit bug reports, the more people that do and maybe they will realize that its there issue not ours.

I was on this morning for a a little while and i had the same things. Lagging and taking what felt like years to choose a gag. I eventually got off cause I got sick of the lagging. I hope they fix it soon

everything you said is 100% correct, but it's not just in ceo, it's all over river.

The only real solution to this is a private or non river run. I'd love for everyone on this forum to use another district, but then we'd all be fighting to get back into river.

Altho with CCG, we all seem to get back into river fairly easy after a non river run.

One thing you can do tho, if you are certain you picked up the food, you can take off and head to a table, likewise, if you are certain you fed a cog and no one else could have touched it also, you can head back to the belt. It will catch up, just like gags catch up and mole stomp catches up (pingpingpingpingping and counter goes from 10-5 in a split second)

Alot of the game is played on your local computer, the moles coming up and grabbing food and feeding cogs is all ran on your local computer and the information is synchronized with the server, so when the server stops lagging, everything syncs up.

That's exactly what I am speaking of. I have sent in bug reports also(which I will continue to send in), included pics with the reports, and I get UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS!!! Excuse me, but I don't feel that EVERYBODY's drivers need to be updated. It isn't just a Nutty River problem anymore. It is effecting the other districts, Summit was awful yesterday. This IS a TT issue. Close for maintaince!!! I'm sure we wouldn't mind TT going down to repair this problem. PurplePenny, you're right, lag wasn't the right word, because we are still able to communicate and move normally with one another. Oh and THANKS Loopy Scooter Gigglewig, I'm gonna give your suggestion a shot!!!! I'll try anything to feed those cogs faster!:

AHA!! So that explains why I squirt the CEO it doesn't show I hit him and then all of a sudden all these -4's -2's and -6's start flying up!!! I never thought about that before!!! Thanks KSN!!!! You've opened my eyes!!!! heeheee I will pass all this info on to my group and to as many others as I can!!!! You guys are AWESOME!!!

Simply answer is that their are too many people in a district, and the server cant keep up.

Everyone tries and does get into river by teleporting to their friends then their friends teleport to them etc the loop is endless.

The more friends that teleport in the worse the district will get.

Simple way to solve this is to limit the number of people per district to a maximum number, and if that number is reached then you cannot even
tp to your friend.

This will force people to use other districts and balance the load equally.

Or find a way to get rid of all the people that leave toons endlessly jumping is various part of nutty river all day, this just ties up resources.

Personnally I would reset the district every couple of hours to get rid of these hangers on.
