it's prolly not your computer, lots of people get booted from the back 9. it happends to me on both my laptops and my main gaming rig. I run xp and vista. when I reach my 23300 I do only middle 6's, never know when I will get booted from the 9. I don't like waisting 45min or more to just get booted. Sorry to go on like that, your computer is fine it is a toontown problem, and they will never admit it, they are perfict lol

I've gotten booted off the Back 9 more times than I care to remember, and I have friends that it has happened to as well, regardless of who's running with whom. It's a common complaint. I wouldn't think your friend is getting the boot only because he or she is running with you.
The Middle 6's are a good idea, even for a while, if it happens frequently. Good luck!

More times than I would like, when I get close to the top I get the black screen of death. The only way out is to shut down. Its awful!
The next biggest issue is the lag on the golf cart. One toon looks like they are going to be left so I jump off to only be left standing there when the clock still shows time but the cart moves on...without me...and then back to the playground you go. I no longer worry about the other toons since when I do, I am the one booted!! |

Remember everyone except people in river and summit got kicked off a few days ago? Well then toontown put on the front page to have all the requirements or you could mess up other people as in booting them. So it all has to do with if people have the toontown requirments. I went in a back nine resently and just saw this on the page. Here it is... The title is Reminder.
You should only play Toontown with the software provided for download at Toontown.com. Using other software to play Toontown for you (sometimes called a macro) or modifying the Toontown software in any way is not permitted. Though you might not know it, such software can interfere with gameplay for lots of other Toons, and often results in a system crash. This means the Toontown developers have to stop creating new, fun things to do in Toontown so they can figure out what happened. Thanks for your cooperation! |

My graphics are updated, Toontown has been removed and reinstalled, as well as the updated launcher. Still disconnecting on the Back 9 as is most everyone else I know in Toontown

When I was disconnecting it didn't matter which course I was in. In fact I have disco'd more in the 6 than the 9 for some reason. But it's been several days since my last disco and I've been doing a huge amount of 9's without a single disconnect from anyone with me. Yesterday I did 7 back 9's and in every one all four toons danced.

Last night, I was in a back 9 with a friend, and I got the "black screen" on the 7th floor. He didn't. He said he had read that if you can somehow make it to the golf cart, the black screen issue goes away on the next floor.
So he painstakingly walked me through the floor, on yahoo, by directing me where to go. Sure enough, he managed to direct me, eventually, onto the golf cart, I lost the black screen, and I was able to finish the course. So, all is not lost, if you have someone with you who didn't get the black screen and you have access to an outside source of communicating. I have sent bug reports to Disney about this, and their response is they are unable to identify the source of the problem. |

It seems to be random on who gets disco'd....I was one of the few that didn't get disco'd....Well, I think once. And I did suffer the dreaded black screen twice. Other then that, I was pretty lucky
I know of ppl that would get on and a few floors later they were gone...and it would happen in spurts....If it happened once, it would continue until it eventually stopped. Then it would clear up for a while and then start happening to them again.... ![]() ![]() Good Luck!!!! ![]()

I have been lucky enough to never get booted out of a back nine. I have ended up in the gray box for a few floors though.. and no one was glitching the mazes or anything. But it seems like almost everytime I go in there at least 1 person does not make it all the way through. They aren't sfs so idk if they just decided to ditch or if they got booted.

Today I have not only got kicked out of the back nine, but the 6 and a factory. 6 times today alone I have gotten booted off TT. I keep sending bug reports, but I never see a change. The past couple weeks have been horrible for me and by now I'm sure I made lots of enemies because of this. If I was with anyone that is reading this I AM SO SORRY!! I hope they understand and dont think I was ditching any of them! I'm very frustrated about this and am now afraid to get into a Back 9 or anything else for that matter.

I am going back and forth with Disney on this issue. I am fed up with getting up to the last floor to get kicked out and have wasted an hour of my time to get no options. When I only have about two hours at night to play, that's ridiculous! Of course they told me it was my computer's fault - lag (I love how they tell you the definition like we don't know what it means), video card, get more RAM, etc. I've been arguing with them about it, and they told me to do a trace route. So I did, and I'm waiting to see their response to that. I don't think I'm going to even work on my boss suit anymore until this is resolved. Cog golf courses are tedious enough as it is, but to have them go to waste is so much more frustrating, I think I'll go back to working my smaller toons.

I've had this problem quite a bit lately and when I filled out the bug report, this was what I said in that report:
This is the 2nd time in a row that I have encountered this problem in a BBHQ Back 9 run. Please do not tell me it is my system, because it is happening to many other players and find it hard to believe it is always an issue of our systems and never an issue with the game. Thank you! Their Response: Disney's Toontown Online utilizes the latest 3-D features of current video cards. It's helpful to stay current with your video card's latest software drivers. Please see your graphics card manufacturer for the latest drivers for your card. My Response: Dear_______, I'm sorry, but I find it impossible to believe that the problem is ALWAYS related to the video drivers on a players computer. When this happened, all 4 players got the same message. None of those computers were in the same location or even in the same geographic location. Based on what I have experienced with this issue in the past, it would seem that the problem is directly related to the game, not everyone's systems. Respectfully, Me Their Response: Oops...nevermind, they haven't responded. Since I sent the initial report I have not gone in another Back 9 run and won't until I know for certain they have fixed the problem on their end. |
