Stock Options Question

I'm just getting to where I need gross amount of Stock Options. My question is this, reading it takes a hour plus on a back nine, I don't normally have a hour plus all at one time. I just did several middle sixes to complete a large amount of options. Going with 4 good Toon's the average time seems to be around 30 minutes. Looking at the option charts a 9 gives you 3350 (in invasion) a 6 1874 (in invasion). The six gives you 398 more options doing two in the amount of time or less than a 9, leading to my question.........wouldn't it make more sense to do 2 middle sixes?

That might be more sensible, although there is that run to DD and back between each 6 to gag up, but I think that might be bettter!

I agree with you 100%. Out of all the runs I have done, my Middle 6s average out about 35 min, while my Back 9s about 73 min. In my own opinion and time it takes for me and my friends to do these runs, doing nothing but Middle 6s is the best option. I also just hate having to be stuck in something for an hour.

It makes sense to me to do middle 6s, but I have friends who run the 9s because they believe it is faster than going back to buy gags. I guess it is just personal preference. I've only done one back 9, and it took maybe an hour and two minutes... that was with one friend and 2 randoms.

I prefer 6s also. It is very easy to do when you have one friend wait while the others gag then TP back. That wastes no time in having to run back to BHQ after gagging. Sure beats being stuck in 9 holes.

I don't need them yet, but already plan to do the same thing. I doubt I will ever enter a Back Nine!

Plus the way TT is acting lately the longer your in something the more chance of you being dumped from TT and loosing everything you've done up to that point.

I prefer doing back 9's. Gagging up, running back and waiting for a group seems to me to take more time than the few minutes you save from the middle 6's. Back 9's also force me to just stay put and finish my options already. I have a feeling if I was doing 6's I'd be tempted to take a lot more breaks than I take now. And honestly they aren't so bad. I turn on the television, a movie or music and the time slips by much more painlessly. I guess it just depends on the person and their time constraints.

I posed this same question when I was at the same point you were at. At the time there really wasnt very many toons who needed back nines. Seemed easier to get on a middle six kart. I have since stuck with back nines. It really isnt as bad as it seems(to me anyway) and it takes about an hour. The time its takes to do two middles sixes and gag up and wait again just seemed longer to me.

I'm with ya... I did a cpl of 9's in the beginning but never again. Its all 6's for me

Don't forget the occasional disconnects :-/ getting booted on the 8th floor really stinks :P if I'm going to get booted I would rather it be 20 min into a run than 60

Unless you have 3 friends ready to go with you it takes quite awhile these days to gather up a group for 6's or 9's, so I do 9's....once I have a captive audience I may as well keep them. Additionally, in my experience you are more likely to get in-experienced toons in a middle six, and trust me that just makes it take so much longer!

Breaks are good! I understand what each have said here, for myself after playing way to many years, I like long breaks!! I'm in no hurry to max at this point, if it's not fun, why do it! My best TT friend will agree if I push to hard I get quite crabby!!

I enjoy helping friends that I rarely see do a six or 3 for that matter even if I don't need. I don't mind waiting for 3 players, experienced or not to do a six, I have two computers side by side, one I will be working my home business (like I should be) while I wait!

My problem with doing only 6's is that for 23k you have to do like 12 6s and a 3 (if i remember correctly) or just 7 9's. These CGC's are repetitive enough...and having to do them 12 times in a row, it's just too much for me. So it's either 75 floors with only 6's or 63 floors with 9's. I never thought I'd say this, but...9's are better for me. Just because I can't handle doing so much of the same thing over and over and over....(as if we aren't doing that already, lol...)

Yes they are. That is pretty much what keeps people from burning out on TT; nice little breaks.

Although it might take longer overall to do 12 Middle 6s (due to the breaks in between), I feel that change in scenery makes all the difference in the end. Furthermore, the small breaks in between the Middle 6s only extends your total time by no more than 30 minutes when getting 23,300 SO as compared to exclusively doing Back 9s (assuming you stay focused on getting your SO). I see this time insigificant because its usually spread out over several days (unless you are a die hard, all day playing TT player) so you dont really see the difference.

I myself do Back 9s every so often, but more often than not, I will prefer Middle 6s.

I myself do middle 6's, but I haven't had a need to step into a 9 until now. I only got time for middle 6s anyways, because my parents only limit me to an hour. Hopefully I'll have more time in the summer if I get there on my new toon I hope to max. Then, I'd do 9's when needed, but until then, I can only stick to 6's. So along with personal preferences, remember allotted time is also an issue. If I could work a 9 in 50 minutes, I'd do those. But seeing as it's hard unless firing all of them, I can't.

Coming from a micro lvl 8, btw.
