BBHQ has shaken my faith in the CCG

OK, this isn't the first time I've been in a boss battle where there were cooperation problems. Certainly not the first time for the CCG either - but tonight at the 7:45 CEO run for the CCG I was in a run that was a first for me in the CCG. For the first time EVER I felt that my going sad was the DIRECT result of selfishness on the part of other members in the CCG.

At one point I was down to 8 laugh and I was chasing snacks while others with 70-80+ laugh were grabbing them before I could get there. After asking people repeatedly please save the snacks for sadder toons, and people going right on grabbing snacks others should have gotten - I managed to receive a +20 unite someone was kind enough to give, then I got a -30 while charging my seltzer bottle. So I got dumped back to Donalds Dock.

I just can't BELIEVE that members of the CCG would behave in such a manner. I've always known and been involved in the group because of their selfLESSness - not what I saw tonight - not by a LONG shot.

Were they part of the CCG, or randoms? If they are part of the CCGs, report them to an CCG Ambassador with there Toon Name, Laff,Gags, and/or TTC Name.

Cant blame the entire CCG for everytime you go sad. Our only mission is to get you on the elevator with as little shuffle if none at all. Sounds to me that you got in pretty easy without a shuffle complaint so the CCG was victorious again. These threads get old pretty fast. Blame the CCG cause I went sad. Well it is just a game. Sorry you went sad but not every person that attend a CCG run is a member. we don't have a private district and we welcome everyone, even randoms. Better luck next time.

I don't think he is blaming the whole CCG. He specifically says "members of the CCG" being the ones he went in with. And he also, I am sure, isn't blaming the CCG EVERYTIME he goes sad with them. He is clearly stating that some members that was in the CEO battle with him wern't being respectful and not letting him get the laff boosts to keep from going sad, which IS breaking the rules.

I am sorry you had trouble with the people you went in with.

Thanks for your thoughts. You are correct - I'm not blaming everyone. I am only taking issue with the rule breakers. I have been involved with the CCG for a long time. This is mostly because it seems their mission is to HELP people. My gripe here is that there were toons involved in this run that were NOT doing this - causing a problem for me.

I don't intend to condem the CCG or stop attending runs. My purpose here is that if BBHQ has caused some toons to "look out for themselves FIRST" perhaps they ought to refelct on that and a change may be in order.

ok IF you went before the schedualed run time, or on the 1st few elevators, you probably went with randoms, that found us, again!
Also, some CCGers bring sfs that have no idea about the rules, and most of the time break them, I know from experience, I only took 1 of my friends to the CEO run, they wouldn't stop sf talking, even though I keep going Shhhh... they go y? I'm like because its the CCG and they don't want u sf talking alot! and hes like y? and this keeps going on and on.......
Then he start stealing all the snacks in the final battle, and I go STOP! and he says I need more laff, then I say Not more than them, you're gona make them go sad, now stop!, he finally stopped after I gave away my last TU unite to him.
Thinking about it now I realize that I could of done different things to stop him, from doing wat he did.
Anywaylike the others said, report the members, if they were members, If not maybe next time you should wait until the last or second to last load of toons to go with they're almost always CCGers

You can never condemn the CCG for what it is.

However its policies invite this sort of thing as much as it invites toons who take advantage of the no-shuffle policy for their own convenience over teamwork or the good of the many. From gag experimentation (or lack thereof) to babysitting, the CCG has a lot of expectations hoisted on it by attendees.

I've had more probs in CCG CEO runs from laff scared toons - prob kids of CCG members - who snarfed the conveyor belt to 90s laff or even 60s near the end and let those of us with teens through 30s laff die. Not that it doesnt happen in random runs, but the NR runs tend to have toons who work harder to get into the district for a run and is simply not as accessible. It's not the sort of district one casually attends and sashays on the elevator for an easy ride as MUCH as on a CCG run.

And btw you dont have to like what I say. It's the truth of the matter regardless of who says it.

Well said.

My point here is really to ask, no, BEG, the more responsible members of CCG, the ones who will listen - to continue to ENCOURAGE members to be respectful and HELPFUL to those in need.

In my mind - THIS is the reason I will continue to support the CCG. Thanks to those of you who feel likewise and continue working towards this end.

Toons of the CCG UNITE!

One thing I would like to point out about CEO runs that is often overlooked. Quite often early in the battle there are snacks rolling off the end of the coveyor to be lost forever. Maybe those of you that are getting to the very low levels of laff are neglecting the opportunity to go earlier and replenish when the snacks are being lost to the floor. The CCG CEO I was in last night had a toon saying take the snacks before they fall. It was the first time I had ever seen that phrase used. I had only lost 15 laff, but while away from the tee dodging the fore, I wondered over and took the snacks because of this statement by the other toon. Nobody else was going after them, so I thought no need to let them be wasted. I did this twice in my CEO, and didn't need to visit later when toons that had neglected the opportunity to go earlier and were way down on their laff needed the snack lines.

exactly.
I'm a toon who uses the phrase "take the snacks before they fall" often, replenish myself early during "fores", if I see a weak toon getting snacks I pass on getting snacks when I don't need them.

I do NOT get why toons are immediately saying "save the snacks for the sadder toons". It's a signal to me, they don't plan to help in the battle.
