Arrow The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty

The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty
Ever since creating the Law Hq thread titled "The Chief Justice: Cogsuit Levels and CJ Difficulty," that outlined the CJ difficulty with the average cogsuit level, I have been contemplating whether the CEO had the same premise of rules in determining CEO difficulty as the CJ does. Since it was described that Boss would have new advanced method of battling cogs, I was hoping that Boss would have an alternative and more creative way for determining the level of difficulty in the CEO battle. It appears, through personal observation and through the observations of soloers that the CEO battle uses the same standard rules of determining the CEO difficulty as the CJ; average cogsuit level.

Average Cogsuit Level:
The average cogsuit level is the overall average of suits within the CEO. The higher the overall suits in the elevator, the higher the average cogsuit level. The average cogsuit level is influenced by two factors: how many toons in the elevator and the level of each toons cogsuit. The average cogsuit level is the total average suit attained by all of the toons within the elevator. This average congsuit level can be calculated by assigning a numerical value (cogsuit value) to each suit or CEO win and dividing by the total number of toons present in the elevator. For every CEO win or promotion, the cogsuit value is increased by one, resulting in a total of 78 possible CEO cogsuit levels (Table 1). The first and foremost easiest CEO possible is a Flunky 1 CEO, with an average cogsuit level of 1. This CEO contains a total of 8 banquet tables with 4 level 11 Corporate Raiders seated. The last and most dreaded CEO, with a difficulty yet still to be determined, will have an average cogsuit level of BC50. Although there are a total of 78 possible different CEOs anyone may experience, I have observed that just like the CJ, the CEO’s difficulty is actually grouped into specific average cogsuit levels, resulting in only a handful of different CEO’s anyone may experience.

Cogsuit Level: The physical suit and level of that suit any one toon is wearing
Cogsuit Value: The number of promotions or CEO wins; taken to the next increment (n + 1)

Calculating Average Cogsuit Level
As stated above, if each CEO promotion or win is assigned as a variable (n), and each promotion results in an increment of 1, then the cogsuit value can be calculated as, Cogsuit Value = (n + 1). Since a Flunky1 has not undergone an actual promotion, they have the lowest cogsuit value of 1, a Flunky2 having undergone 1 promotion has a cogsuit value of 2 (Table 1). The largest suit, BC50, has undergone many promotions resulting in the largest cogsuit value of 78 (Table 1). How is the average cogsuit calculated?

Average Cogsuit Level = (Sum of cogsuit values) ÷ (number of toons)

Table 1: List of cogsuit levels and values

Example:
Elevator with 8 toons of cogsuit levels and values:
Flunky 2 (2), Flunky 5 (5), Pencil Pusher 6 (10) Micromanager 7 (19), Downsizer 8 (24), Corporate Raider 8 (32), Big Cheese 8 (36), and a Big Cheese 13 (41).

Average Cogsuit Level = (2+5+10+19+24+32+36+41) ÷ 8 (number of toons present)
Average Cogsuit Level = 169 ÷ 8 = 21.1
An average suit level of 21 relates to a Donwsizer 5 CEO. This CEO would be similar to 8 level 5 Downsizer suits loading the elevator, or 1 single level 5 Downsizer.

CEO Difficulty
Assigning each suit promotion a numerical value, an average value can be calculated. This average value directly dictates the difficulty of the whole CEO battle. As the average cogsuit level increases, the more difficult the whole CEO battle will be. Similar to how the CJ was developed the CEO battle consists of several groups of CEO battles, ranging from easy to very difficult. Each group contains approximately 15 different levels of cogsuits. Unlike the CJ, which added extra variables in the scale battle itself, the CEO’s variability comes from the number of cogs that must be battled in the banquet round. Regardless of the difficult level of the CEO battle, the difficulty of the CEO himself never changes. Since the only variable that changes are the number of cogs in the banquet battle, the categories listed below are directed related to the number of cogs and tables in the banquet.

Easy
It is understandable that a Flunky 1 CEO battle will be the easiest battle anyone can experience, but CEOs ranging from Flunky 1 to Micromanager 4 will experience the same exact CEO: 8 Tables of 4 cogs per table (Table 2). These cogs will be Corporate Raiders and all being level 11 V2.0 cogs. One pink slip is rewarded for defeating the CEO in the easy category. This type of CEO battle is easy to overcome, because there are only a total of 32 cogs in the banquet hall. Through combined effort and good strategy, each cog is able to be destroyed during the feeding round. Usually only a handful of cogs will remain that will have to be battled during the banquet battle.

Moderate
The next category has a substantial change in the difficulty, because the cogs in the banquet change from Corporate Raiders to The Big Cheeses. This category ranges from Micromanager 5 to Corporate Raider 8. CEO battle falling within this range will have a total of 9 tables of 5 cogs per table (Table 2). Each cog will be The Big Cheese and all being level 12 V2.0 cogs. Two pink slips are rewarded for defeating the CEO in the moderate category. CEOs that fall within the moderate category have a total of 45 cogs in the banquet hall. Using good strategy during the feeding round will result in 15-20 cogs remaining that will have to be battled. Since it is impossible to feed all of the cogs in this category, it is always best to focus on cogs that are closest to the conveyor belts and on cogs that have been fed at least once.

Although the banquet battle in the moderate category is much more difficult than the easy category, the CEO himself seems to be easier with the addition of 1 more table. The more tables present in the banquet, the easier it is to defeat the CEO himself.

Above Moderate
The next category is very similar to that of the moderate category, but with the addition of 1 extra table, and 1 extra cog per table. CEO battles that fall within an average cogsuit level of Corporate Raider 9 to The Big Cheese 19 will have 10 tables of 6 cogs per table (Table 2). Each cog will be a Corporate Raider, all being level 11 V2.0 cogs. A total of 3 or 4 (BC19 CEO) pink slips are rewarded depending on the average cogsuit level. CEOs that fall within this category will have a total of 60 cogs in the banquet hall. Using good strategy during the feeding round will result in 30-35 cogs remaining that will have to be battled.

Since each cog is a Corporate Raider level 11, the banquet battle itself is not too demanding beyond the moderate category. With the addition of an extra table, the CEO himself is not too difficult to overcome.

Very Difficult
The most difficult CEO battle any one individual can encounter falls within the range of The Big Cheese 20 to The Big Cheese 34. CEO battles that fall within the category will have a total of 8 tables and 8 cogs per table (Table 2). Each cog will be The Big Cheese, all being level 12 V2.0 cogs. A total of 4 pink slips are rewarded for this category. CEOs within the very difficult category will have a total of 64 cogs in the banquet hall. Using good strategy within the feeding round will result in 34-39 cogs remaining that will have to be battled.

Although only 4 cogs more are added in this category as compared to the above moderate category, there is a significant change because all of these cogs are level 12s. Furthermore, only 8 tables are in the banquet, limiting toon maneuverability during the squirting round in the CEO battle.

Difficult
It would be easily conceivable for the last category to be the most in difficulty as it is in the CJ, the CEO difficulty actually decreases as the largest suits enter the elevator. CEO battles within the difficult category range from The Big Cheese 35 to The Big Cheese 50. These CEO battles will have a total of 13 tables and 5 cogs per table (Table 2). Each cog will be The Big Cheese, all being level 12 V2.0 cogs. A total of 5 pink slips are rewarded for this category. CEOs within the difficult category will have a total 65 cogs in the banquet hall. Using good strategy in the feeding round will result in 35-40 cogs remaining that will have to be battled.

It is very ironic, because it would be expected that the last category to be the most difficult, but when you compare the category with 4 pink slips (very difficult) to this category, only 1 extra cog is added into the banquet. Furthermore, 5 additional tables are added, making the squirting round easier to manage due to each toon having plenty of access to tables (better maneuverability). Since only 1 extra cog is added, and since there is more access to tables during the squirting round, this category is actually easier than the previous one. One benefit of this category is you get more pink slips for battling an easier CEO.

Microsoft Excel Sheet
I have included a Excel sheet to help calculate the average cogsuit level easily. In this table, all you need to do is type the number in the blank column for each suit observed in the elevator. Once all the suits are entered you will see at the bottom in red the total number of toons and the average cogsuit level. If you have any questions pertaining to the excel file, please do send me a PM.

It would be helpful to find how the cogsuit level effects if there are Big Cheeses or Corporate Raiders, how many tables, and how many are at each table. It would be like you did with the CJ where THe higher the cogsuit level, the more xogs would be throwing evidence and there would be lless evidence. You should consider adding that.

Thanks for making this thread, Dog. I've been curious what average cog suit level you need to earn X number of pink slips..

I'll keep reporting to you more data as I do CEO's.

Just one question... do you want us to actually edit the Excel sheet, or just give you the data?

I'm sure you could find the data on the soloers easily, so here's what I have from my experiences:
  • 7 toons - Big Cheese 19 (2), Big Cheese 16, Big Cheese 15 (2), Big Cheese 12, Corporate Raider 9
  • Average Suit Value - 42.4
  • 10 tables - 6 Corporate Raiders (Lv11 v2.0) per table (60 cogs total)
  • Pink Slips - 3
-------------------
  • 8 toons - Big Cheese 29, Corporate Raider 11, Micromanager 8 (3), Yesman 5, Pencil Pusher 5, Flunky 5
  • Average Suit Value - 22.4
  • 9 tables - 5 Big Cheese's (Lv12 v2.0) per table (45 cogs total)
  • Pink Slips - 2

Just the data is fine. Even if you dont calculate the avg suit level its fine, I dont mind doing it myself. All I ask is that the accurate account of suits, tables, number of cogs, cog type and level, and number of pink slips be taken.
