SICK and TIRED of this!

Okay, this has happened one too many times. I just need to vent a little bit..I was just in a CEO and the cogs and the serving were fairly smooth, as usual. We got to the seltzer round and the usual 4-6 toons ditched/died off. And then it's usually just me and some other fairly experienced toon finishing off the seltzer round. I, and Cherokee Maiden (is she a member of ttc?) were about 40 minutes into the seltzer round and the CEO was blinking red. This was after about me using 6 TU unites to keep us alive. The CEO's golf balls were doing up to -37 at this point so I was pretty attentive to our laff points. As we're taking the last few shots, the CEO drives towards me. I immediately hit esc, and in the bottom left part of the screen it says "leaving seltzer bottle" for like 3 seconds. It lags for about 5 more seconds and he took about 60 of my 89 laff away somehow. I'm down to about 30 something laff now, and he keeps on charging for me wherever I go. He eventually catches up with me and runs me over. I'm at 16 laff points now and quicky go for a TU unite. I try to open speedchat, but it lags for about 5 seconds. During that time, the CEO does another fore attack and knocks me to zero after all this hard work. Like I said, this has happened like 4 times. I am sick and tired of it not letting me get off the seltzer bottles in time to dodge the attack. I'm sure it's not lag, its just a bug. Just like the cattlelog bug where it says "Still trying!". Does anyone else get 50+ laff taken away from them at once? Does anyone else's game delay when they press a button? From now on, I'm not getting below 90 laff comfortably. This is getting pretty ridiculous.

I reported daily on test that the escape key wasn't working as it should, No response (what a suprise) and no fix.

My suggestion is to put your mouse over the red x button on the bottom right, and use your mouse to escape from now on. Yeah, it keeps you from having your mouse near the unite button, but if it keeps you from getting stuck on that table, you wont need the unites as much.

Oh, and don't forget to report it. Maybe if people on open report it it will be fixed...

I saw you in BBHQ right before i went into a golf course. Thats irrelevant though, lol.

Anyways, yes, i do get hit for double sometimes. And i, too, have troubles with my esc key. Sometimes it opens up my start menu (why why why?) and sometimes it won't. I give up on using my esc key. Instead i just keep my mouse over the Jump Off button and push it real quick.

I've had that bug happen sometimes though, where it doesn't jump you off right away. It's really annoying ugh.

The exact same thing has happened to me more than once. Quite frankly, I couldn't figure out what in the world happened. It wouldn't let me off quickly, I got hit with golf balls and/or gears, then it ran me over, and when it finally did let me up (is that length of time a bug or lag or part of the game too?), all of a sudden half my laff disappeared.

I'm not usually uncomfortable about getting low in laff, but I went sad twice so I started trying to stay above 90 laff as well, especially early in the battle.

I seen it happen before as well. The CEO was all the way on the other side of the tables, and a friend randomly was squished and lost 20 laff. 10 seconds later he finally reached her. Pretty odd...

Last night I went in to try another one.

I see the CEO coming at me and I leave the bottle. I see a -20 above me but the CEO is still a table away. WHAT?!?!?! I cannot run anywhere and all I can do is watch as he rolls on top of me.

That happened several times during that run, resulting in me going sad.

I'd like to add that I wasn't too happy to see one of the remaining three of us staying on the golf tees, hiding. I did see that toon standing in front of the Front Three to get his Stock Options. Nice to know some toons are, as usual, riding the coattails of others. Getting their suits on other's hard work.

I had the same thing happen to me last night. From my view the CEO was almost a table away from me when he ran me over. My husband was in the same battle golfing and he told me that he saw the CEO had reached my table when he ran me over. I think maybe it is a lag issue sometimes-we think we see him further away than he actually is. Lag seems random and intermittent to me in there. I also get stuck underneath him when I accidently hit esc without releasing control-which opens the start menu. I need to train myself to not do that-or use the mouse. Oof!

Yes the seltzer tables have major lag... on exit and re-entry.

It stinks...

Sometimes I just run to another table because 5 sec to get your table back is ridiculous. Not much to do about exit lag but try to not wait until the last second... it will end in frustration too often (not that it isn't frustrating anyway). All you can do is find the best way to deal with the situation you are in.

I figured it was a lag issue, but still shouldn't happen, IMO.

But I will remember to restart my computer before a CEO battle.

I haven't resorted to never going again. I did win 2. But I've lost 5 in a row now. Getting disheartening. I do need to work on maxing sell (ugh) and maybe getting more laff from fishing and gardening. I know that will help.

It's also not fun doing a CFO for unites and coming out with jellybeans or gags. Those are nice, but not what I'm looking for.

You are most correct. I finally get to a point where I don't try to get that last seltzer shot in when he says fore! I just jump off.

But I need to remember I can run to a different table.

I start out on golf tees, hoping to keep him slowed down enough that maybe more experience toons can get some good seltzer shots in. I am able to keep my laff full on golf. But I don't feel that I'm pulling my weight when golfing. I keep hitting him, I'm not trying to hide or anything, but feel bad because I'm able to keep full laff when others are scurrying around trying to get tus.

Oh well. One day. One day.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Let's all send this stuff as a bug report and maybe they'll do something about it. I guess all we can do for now is stay on the opposite side of the room of the CEO, lol.
