The Dogfather's Guide to the CEO Battle

The Chief Executive Officer

Waiter Battle:
As the doors to the CEO open you are greeted by Good ol’ Gil Giggles. He instructs you that you must obtain a new waiter disguise by defeating the cog waiters standing nearby. Once the original cogsuit disguises are removed, the battle commences. There are a total of 40 waiter cogs that range from level 9 to 12, all being the new version V2.0 Cogs.

Version 2.0 Cogs:
The new V2.0 cogs are the newest addition of cogs to the cog family. They are more advanced than the old V1.0 cogs that are found in other cog HQs. The new V2.0 cogs have a much stronger inner skeleton, as compared to V1.0 cogs, that emerges once the outer shell is destroyed. This makes the new V2.0 cogs more notorious than ever before, because instead of having to destroy a cog once like the V1.0 cogs, V2.0 cogs need to be destroyed twice.

Once a V2.0 cog is destroyed, the inner skeleton (skelecog) appears of the same initial level and life points as the original outer shell. The skelecog does not attack once it emerges. Any gags that are not used in destroying the outer shell (initial cog) will be immediately used on the skelecog once it emerges. Although the V2.0 cogs do need to be destroyed twice, unused gags, lure and combo bonus points that are not used on the outer shell go against the skelecog. Any hit points that go against the outer shell will not be used on the skelecog.
Example 1:
A V2.0 level 12 The Big Cheese (Boss Battle) - 200 Life Points
Gags: Lure, Cake - 100, Cake - 100, Organic Whole Cream Pie - 44

(100+100+44) = 244 total hit points
Lure Bonus Points - 122 (Orange Number, 50% of damage)
Combo Bonus Points - 49 (Yellow Number, 20% of damage)

Smaller gags are always used first in sequence; the organic pie (44) and the first cake (100) will go against the outer shell. Since these two gags are not enough to destroy the cog, the second cake (100) will also go against the outer shell. Since the 3 throw gags (244) were able to fully destroy the outer shell, the 122 lure bonus points and the 49 combo bonus points are applied to the skelecog.

Skelecog: 200 Life Points
(200-122-49) = 29 life points remaining.

Although the skelecog has only 29 life points remaining, he will be green when he emerges.

Example 2:
A V2.0 level 12 The Big Cheese (Boss Battle) - 200 Life Points
Gags: Lure, Cake - 100, Cake - 100, Cake - 100

(100+100+100) = 300 total hit points
Lure Bonus Points - 150 (Orange Number, 50% of damage)
Combo Bonus Points - 60 (Yellow Number, 20% of damage)

Using 3 cakes; the first 2 cakes (200 total) will destroy the outer shell, while the third cakes goes against the skelecog. Since the 2 throw gags (200) were able to fully destroy the outer shell, the third cake (100), 150 lure bonus points and the 60 combo bonus points are applied to the skelecog.

Skelecog: 200 Life Points
(200-100-150-60) = The skelecog will get destroyed at the same time and will not emerge.
Strategy:
• Since the CEO has many cogs, all being level 2.0 cogs, its always best to conserve as many fog horns as possible on each gag round, because the CEO battle could be comprised of up to 100 or more cogs (200 or more total). When waiter battle begins the first set of cogs can have anywhere from 1-3 level 12 V2.0 cogs. If there are 3 level 12s, its always best to use only one fog horn and 3 elephant trunks, take a hit, then follow up with 4 elephant trunks to kill them off. If there are 2 level 12s, you can follow the same strategy as above, or use 2 fog horns and 2 storm clouds on the 12s. If there is only 1 level 12, its best to use 1 fog horn, 2 elephant trunks and a piano on the level 12.
Cog Banquet Battle:
Following the waiter battle, the CEO appears demanding “What’s taking so long?” “Get cracking and serve my banquet!” As the doors close, Good ol’ Gil Giggles directs the toons to serve canned food to the cogs attending the banquet. The canned food is rigged with something to make the cogs explode. The banquet is made up of at least 8 tables, each seating 4 cogs. Initially, the lower average cogsuit level CEO battles begin with 8 tables, seating 4 Corporate Raiders per table. As the average cogsuit level increases, the more difficult the CEO battle becomes. A BC50 CEO has a total of 13 tables within the banquet, seating 5 cogs per table. For further reading on how the average cogsuit level affects the CEO battle, please read The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty

The main objective for this segment of the battle is to try and serve as many cogs as possible 3 times. Once a cog is served 3 times, that cog will explode. There is a total time of 5 min (300 seconds) to serve (explode) as many cogs possible. The canned food (Fig. 1, enlarged image of canned food) can be obtained by touching one of the 2 conveyor belts (Fig. 1) that are located to the right and to the left of the room. After obtaining some canned food, the cogs must be served that are sitting at the banquet tables. Once served, the cog begins to eat the canned food (Fig. 2) and when finished an icon of a stomach () will appear over his head indicating that he is still hungry. The cog will then wave his finger demanding more food (Fig. 2). If the cog is not immediately re-fed, the stomach icon over the cogs head slowly begins to fill up in a darker color. If the cog is ignored and the stomach icon turns red, soon after that the cog will start banging his fists on the table and a yellow lightning bolt icon () will form over his head indicating that he is angry. Should the cog get angry because he has not been re-fed, the amount of required canned foods to explode that specific cog will be brought back to 3. At the end of the 5 minutes, any cogs remaining that were not exploded during the banquet will have to be battled before the final CEO battle.

Fig. 1: Conveyor Belt with Cog food

Fig 2: Hungry Cogs
Strategy:
• Usually you will have 2 groups: 4 toons serving tables on the left and 4 toons serving tables on the right. It is best to begin serving the tables at the back of the banquet (Fig. 3, see banquet overview), nearest the conveyor belt and work your way towards the front of the banquet (Fig. 3, see banquet overview) to where the CEO is located. Each group should focus on 2 tables at a time. This will ensure that each cog gets fed and re-fed once the stomach icon appears over their heads. If too many tables are served at one time, many cogs will start asking for more food, leading to the possibility that some of the cogs might get missed, causing them to get mad (lightning icon). Once they are mad they will need to be re-served 3x again.

• It is also best to focus on the cogs that have a stomach icon above their head, especially the cogs that have a red stomach, instead of serving new cogs or going to a new table. These are the hungriest of the cogs and require the most immediate attention.
When the timer expires, the CEO will shout “What’s happening here?!” “These waiters are toons!” From that point the CEO removes the waiter suit from each of the toons and tells the remaining cogs that were in the banquet to “Get them!” The cog banquet battle begins with a single V2.0 The Big Cheese Level 12 cog. Once The Big Cheese is destroyed, the cogs sitting at the tables will begin to fly into battle in 2 groups of 4 cogs (Depending on how many cogs are remaining). Each set of cogs will have to be destroyed before facing the CEO himself. All of the cogs here are the same level and all are V2.0 cogs.

Banquet Overview:
The banquet is divided into sections that contains the conveyor belts and the banquet tables (Fig. 3). During the CEO battle, the CEO initially begins where the fireplace is located (Fig. 3). From there he will move around the banquet room and target random toons that are squirting him with squirt bottles that are located on top of the tables. There are a total of 13 tables that can be located in the banquet, but this is dependent on the number of large suit promotions that are present in the battle. Each CEO battle has anywhere from 8 to 13 tables with various number of cogs sitting at each table. The number of cogs sitting at each table varies from 4 to 8. For a more in-depth understanding on how the number of promotions affects the CJ difficult please read The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty.

Fig. 3: Banquet Overview

The CEO Battle:
Once all the cogs in the banquet have been destroyed, Good ol’ Gil Giggles will give you directions on how to defeat the CEO himself. There are a few varying stages within the boss battle, based on the amount of time taken within the battle.

The CEO uses various attacks, such as throwing gears like the VP and CFO, which cause a -15 reduction in laff. He also hits golf balls at random at a toon that causes a reduction of -15 laff. The biggest and most deadly attack that the CEO does is his “FORE” attack, which will cause a reduction of -15 in laff. When the CEO yells “FORE,” he will target all the toons in the room. He will also try to run toons over, which causes a reduction of -20 laff.
Reorganize Stage:
At the 20 minute mark, the CEO will say out loud "It's time to reorganize." He then throws gears at one of the conveyor belts and makes it explode. The conveyor belt will no longer offers snacks for TU. At this point in the battle, the CEO's golf club glows green and attacks rise to -19.

Downsize Stage:
At the 30 minute mark, the CEO says out loud "Downsizing." He then destroys the second conveyor belt so that it no longer offers snacks. During this time, the CEO's golf club glows red and his attacks increase significantly up to -39 each hit.
To defeat the CEO, toons must try and squirt the CEO with the seltzer bottle. Each table within the banquet hall will have a seltzer bottle on top (Fig. 4).

Fig. 4: Banquet Table

Seltzer Bottle:
The seltzer bottle segment is the most essential part of the CEO battle. No seltzer hits means no win. To begin using a seltzer bottle, run up to one of the banquet tables and your toon will immediately jump on top of the table. Aim the seltzer bottle at the CEO by using the Right/Left keys. Hold down the Control (CTRL) key to fill up the seltzer bottle. The longer the CTRL key is held down the, the greater the distance (Fig. 5.) and the more damage will occur to the CEO. Holding down the CTRL key for a short period of time will cause the seltzer bottle to shoot only a short distance (Fig. 6) and cause -2 damage. To jump off the table, either use the ESCAPE (ESC) key or the click on Leave Bottle button at the lower right corner using your mouse. Careful not to hit the ESC and the CTRL key at the same time, because this will cause you to lose focus of the Toontown window (CTRL+ESC keys make Windows Start Menu pop up); giving the CEO plenty of time to run over you or hit you with gears or golf balls.

Fig. 5: Long Distance

Fig. 6: Short Distance

Setting an Aim for the Seltzer Bottle:
To be able to take those long shots and know that each will be a successful hit, it is best to set an aim with your mouse cursor. Once all of the banquet cogs have been destroyed and your waiter suit gets removed, they will show the CEO briefly right in front of the screen. If you put your mouse cursor on the CEO's chest or face and leave it there for the remainder of the battle, the mouse cursor will serve as an aim for the seltzer bottle, as pictured in Fig. 5. Anytime you are about to shoot, just make sure the CEO is in the direct path between your toon and the mouse cursor. Using this strategy you can easily and successfully hit the CEO during long distance shots even while he is on the move. Setting an aim is also useful for when a toon is positioned between yourself and the CEO. You can aim the shot just to the side of the toon in front of you, and still manage to easily hit the CEO.

Seltzer Bottle Damage:
There are 3 levels of fill within the seltzer bottle: Gray, Yellow and Red, and each with their own amount of damage that will occur to the CEO. Be careful to not overfill the seltzer bottle, because should the seltzer bottle be filled beyond the red mark, the bottle will empty and drop back to the beginning (Gray).

Strategy:
• There are times that it is more effective to hit the CEO with -2 rather than wait for the bottle to fill to a -6 shot. A -6 hit is usually best for long distance shots. If the CEO is right next to the table you are using, it is best to use multiple -2 shots over having to wait to use a single -6 shot.

• For the majority of the battle the CEO will target toons that are using the seltzer bottles. Below are a few good strategies to minimize the amount of damage sustained by the CEO's attacks.

• As the CEO is moving around the room targeting each toon that is using a seltzer bottle, it is best to jump off the seltzer bottle when he is a table away (especially if his treads are gray) after targeting you so as to avoid getting run over. It is more important to keep 20 laff points than it is to hit the CEO with -2 to -6.

• It is particularly important to see what toon the CEO is looking at, because he can throw gears from the other side of the room that cause a reduction of -15 in laff. If you notice the CEO is looking at your toon, it is best to jump off the table and move to another table or wait until he directs his attention at another toon.

• The CEO's most deadly attacks is his "FORE!" attack. This attack targets all toons and can cause severe damage to anyone that is hit. To avoid his "FORE!" attack it is important to notice when he yells out FORE! When the CEO says "FORE," it is best to immediately jump off the table and jump up and down while moving away from the CEO. It also helps sometimes to move to the side a bit while moving away from the CEO.

Replenishing Laff Points:
After a laborious battle with the CEO, toons will eventually need to replenish their laff points, especially that toons cannot toon-up eachother with the exception of toon-up unites. During the actual CEO battle, snacks will be loaded onto the 2 conveyor belts for toons to eat. There are 4 different snacks each with different levels of toon-up. These snacks do come into the battle very slowly, so please do save the snacks until it is a must, especially when the CEO decides to destroy one of the conveyor belts (20 minutes into the CEO battle).

Golf:
Golfing is the non-essential part of the CEO battle, but is still recommended. It does help facilitate a win, but golfing is not necessary as the golf balls do not cause damage. The main purpose of golfing is to help slow down the CEO’s movement. There are a total of 4 golfing tees, each with its own color of golf ball: Blue, Red, Yellow and Purple. Once he is hit with a golf ball, the CEO will slow down, giving time for the toons on the seltzer bottles to aim and shoot him with much more ease.

Aim the golf club at the CEO by using the Right/Left keys. Hold down the Control (CTRL) key to strengthen the hit and distance of the golf ball. When the status bar is to the left, a short shot will be made (Fig. 7). If the status bar is far to the right, a long shot will be made (Fig. 8). When the CEO is hit with golf balls, his tracks will change color from gray to pink to dark red, which is directly related to the CEO's speed; red being the slowest. A successful hit will be marked by a puff of smoke that matches the color of the golf ball being used, i.e. a blue golf ball should make a blue puff of smoke.

Fig. 7: Short Shot

Fig. 8: Long Shot

Once the CEO's treads have turned red, it takes a few minutes for his treads to start to turn pink and re-gain his speed. To keep his treads red and slow movement, toons must continue to hit him with golf balls. In failing to continue to hit the CEO with golf balls, and if lots of time is consumed during the CEO battle, the CEO will recover his speed.
Strategy:
• A good strategy for the CEO battle is to start off with 4 toons golfing and 4 using the seltzer bottles. Once the 4 golfing toons have managed to turn the CEOs treads red, it is not fully necessary to continue golfing because it takes a few minutes before his treads turn from red to pink. One golfer, or at most 2, can remain to help sustain the red treads for a longer duration, but it is not necessary. Once his treads are red, it is preferable if all toons focused on squirting the CEO. This strategy increases the total amount of damage that occurs to the CEO. Should all or most toons focus on squrting the CEO, he will be defeated well in advance before his treads turn pink again. Should the group not defeat the CEO by the time his treads turn pink, a few toons can come back and golf and turn his treads red again, then return to squirting.
Once the CEO has had enough hits with the seltzer bottles, he will yell out loud, “No! The chairman won’t like this” “Arrrggghhh!!!!” and gets demoted to a Flunky.

Pink Slips:
Pink slips are awarded after each successful CEO battle win. For each successful CEO battle win anywhere from 1-5 pink slips are awarded, which depends on the average cogsuit level (please visit The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty for more information). Higher average cogsuit level CEO's offer more pink slips. Pink slips are used to help demote/fire cogs in any battle sequence. One pink slip will fire any cog of any level, even V2.0 cogs.

To fire a cog you must first click on the "Fire" button, then select the cog to fire. A cannon will appear underneath the cog you selected and will shoot the cog out of battle.

Cogsuit Calculator:
Included is a cogsuit calculator that allows you to calculate the difficulty of the CEO battle. I would like to thank chocoholic1415 for making this worksheet. You can select the suits that load the elevator from the drop down menus that are provided. The worksheet then calculates the average cogsuit for you.

Wow! I never knew it could come that fast! This guide was written faster than I have time to finish my BB suit (4 more front threes! And Flippy, of course). The DogFather must be on like 12 hours or something.

Great guide! I did learn a couple new facts, including the color of the CEO's tracks indicating his speed.

I read the whole thing so here's some small details to make it that much better, hehe.
  • The CEO Battle (second cog battle) always begins with a The Big Cheese Lv12 v2.0. After that cog is killed, only than do the remaining Corparate Raiders begin to fly over and are ready to be destroyed.
  • How to avoid the very frequent "Fore!" attack. To avoid the CEO's "Fore!" attack hit escape as soon as you can after you hear him say it. You should miss it without moving, just make sure you hit it immediately.
  • Also, I know the type of goodies give a different amount of TU. If you could figure that out (or I will next CEO and I'll post) that would be another chunk to add.
Again, awesome guide as usual. Sticky worthy. Soon stickies will be renamed to DawgFather's since you will soon have most have them I'm sure, hehe.

Wow, great guide! You didn't waste any time getting it out.

One question: You say pink slips will work on V2.0 Cogs. Does that mean it will kill both the original Cog and the Skelecog, or just the first one?

Instead of saying "runs away" you should put "is demoted to a Flunky".

I think you should add about the CEO becoming stronger and destroying conveyor belts. Oh yeah, and laff coming out from the conveyor belts.

lol, nice job on this, maybe those lazy developers will copy and paste this into the players guide section for BBHQ, so they don't have to bother doing it themselves.

Here's my findings

Apple - +1 laff
Cupcake - +2 laff
Mini Pie - +3 laff
Cake - +4 laff

They come out in that order, I think.
