The Dogfather's Guide to the CEO Battle
The Chief Executive Officer
Waiter Battle: As the doors to the CEO open you are greeted by Good ol’ Gil Giggles. He instructs you that you must obtain a new waiter disguise by defeating the cog waiters standing nearby. Once the original cogsuit disguises are removed, the battle commences. There are a total of 40 waiter cogs that range from level 9 to 12, all being the new version V2.0 Cogs. ![]() Version 2.0 Cogs: The new V2.0 cogs are the newest addition of cogs to the cog family. They are more advanced than the old V1.0 cogs that are found in other cog HQs. The new V2.0 cogs have a much stronger inner skeleton, as compared to V1.0 cogs, that emerges once the outer shell is destroyed. This makes the new V2.0 cogs more notorious than ever before, because instead of having to destroy a cog once like the V1.0 cogs, V2.0 cogs need to be destroyed twice. Once a V2.0 cog is destroyed, the inner skeleton (skelecog) appears of the same initial level and life points as the original outer shell. The skelecog does not attack once it emerges. Any gags that are not used in destroying the outer shell (initial cog) will be immediately used on the skelecog once it emerges. Although the V2.0 cogs do need to be destroyed twice, unused gags, lure and combo bonus points that are not used on the outer shell go against the skelecog. Any hit points that go against the outer shell will not be used on the skelecog. Example 1: Strategy:Cog Banquet Battle: Following the waiter battle, the CEO appears demanding “What’s taking so long?” “Get cracking and serve my banquet!” As the doors close, Good ol’ Gil Giggles directs the toons to serve canned food to the cogs attending the banquet. The canned food is rigged with something to make the cogs explode. The banquet is made up of at least 8 tables, each seating 4 cogs. Initially, the lower average cogsuit level CEO battles begin with 8 tables, seating 4 Corporate Raiders per table. As the average cogsuit level increases, the more difficult the CEO battle becomes. A BC50 CEO has a total of 13 tables within the banquet, seating 5 cogs per table. For further reading on how the average cogsuit level affects the CEO battle, please read The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty The main objective for this segment of the battle is to try and serve as many cogs as possible 3 times. Once a cog is served 3 times, that cog will explode. There is a total time of 5 min (300 seconds) to serve (explode) as many cogs possible. The canned food (Fig. 1, enlarged image of canned food) can be obtained by touching one of the 2 conveyor belts (Fig. 1) that are located to the right and to the left of the room. After obtaining some canned food, the cogs must be served that are sitting at the banquet tables. Once served, the cog begins to eat the canned food (Fig. 2) and when finished an icon of a stomach ( ![]() Fig. 1: Conveyor Belt with Cog food ![]() Fig 2: Hungry Cogs Strategy:When the timer expires, the CEO will shout “What’s happening here?!” “These waiters are toons!” From that point the CEO removes the waiter suit from each of the toons and tells the remaining cogs that were in the banquet to “Get them!” The cog banquet battle begins with a single V2.0 The Big Cheese Level 12 cog. Once The Big Cheese is destroyed, the cogs sitting at the tables will begin to fly into battle in 2 groups of 4 cogs (Depending on how many cogs are remaining). Each set of cogs will have to be destroyed before facing the CEO himself. All of the cogs here are the same level and all are V2.0 cogs. Banquet Overview: The banquet is divided into sections that contains the conveyor belts and the banquet tables (Fig. 3). During the CEO battle, the CEO initially begins where the fireplace is located (Fig. 3). From there he will move around the banquet room and target random toons that are squirting him with squirt bottles that are located on top of the tables. There are a total of 13 tables that can be located in the banquet, but this is dependent on the number of large suit promotions that are present in the battle. Each CEO battle has anywhere from 8 to 13 tables with various number of cogs sitting at each table. The number of cogs sitting at each table varies from 4 to 8. For a more in-depth understanding on how the number of promotions affects the CJ difficult please read The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty. ![]() Fig. 3: Banquet Overview The CEO Battle: Once all the cogs in the banquet have been destroyed, Good ol’ Gil Giggles will give you directions on how to defeat the CEO himself. There are a few varying stages within the boss battle, based on the amount of time taken within the battle. The CEO uses various attacks, such as throwing gears like the VP and CFO, which cause a -15 reduction in laff. He also hits golf balls at random at a toon that causes a reduction of -15 laff. The biggest and most deadly attack that the CEO does is his “FORE” attack, which will cause a reduction of -15 in laff. When the CEO yells “FORE,” he will target all the toons in the room. He will also try to run toons over, which causes a reduction of -20 laff. Reorganize Stage:To defeat the CEO, toons must try and squirt the CEO with the seltzer bottle. Each table within the banquet hall will have a seltzer bottle on top (Fig. 4). ![]() Fig. 4: Banquet Table Seltzer Bottle: The seltzer bottle segment is the most essential part of the CEO battle. No seltzer hits means no win. To begin using a seltzer bottle, run up to one of the banquet tables and your toon will immediately jump on top of the table. Aim the seltzer bottle at the CEO by using the Right/Left keys. Hold down the Control (CTRL) key to fill up the seltzer bottle. The longer the CTRL key is held down the, the greater the distance (Fig. 5.) and the more damage will occur to the CEO. Holding down the CTRL key for a short period of time will cause the seltzer bottle to shoot only a short distance (Fig. 6) and cause -2 damage. To jump off the table, either use the ESCAPE (ESC) key or the click on Leave Bottle button at the lower right corner using your mouse. Careful not to hit the ESC and the CTRL key at the same time, because this will cause you to lose focus of the Toontown window (CTRL+ESC keys make Windows Start Menu pop up); giving the CEO plenty of time to run over you or hit you with gears or golf balls. ![]() Fig. 5: Long Distance ![]() Fig. 6: Short Distance Setting an Aim for the Seltzer Bottle: To be able to take those long shots and know that each will be a successful hit, it is best to set an aim with your mouse cursor. Once all of the banquet cogs have been destroyed and your waiter suit gets removed, they will show the CEO briefly right in front of the screen. If you put your mouse cursor on the CEO's chest or face and leave it there for the remainder of the battle, the mouse cursor will serve as an aim for the seltzer bottle, as pictured in Fig. 5. Anytime you are about to shoot, just make sure the CEO is in the direct path between your toon and the mouse cursor. Using this strategy you can easily and successfully hit the CEO during long distance shots even while he is on the move. Setting an aim is also useful for when a toon is positioned between yourself and the CEO. You can aim the shot just to the side of the toon in front of you, and still manage to easily hit the CEO. Seltzer Bottle Damage: There are 3 levels of fill within the seltzer bottle: Gray, Yellow and Red, and each with their own amount of damage that will occur to the CEO. Be careful to not overfill the seltzer bottle, because should the seltzer bottle be filled beyond the red mark, the bottle will empty and drop back to the beginning (Gray). ![]() Strategy: Replenishing Laff Points: After a laborious battle with the CEO, toons will eventually need to replenish their laff points, especially that toons cannot toon-up eachother with the exception of toon-up unites. During the actual CEO battle, snacks will be loaded onto the 2 conveyor belts for toons to eat. There are 4 different snacks each with different levels of toon-up. These snacks do come into the battle very slowly, so please do save the snacks until it is a must, especially when the CEO decides to destroy one of the conveyor belts (20 minutes into the CEO battle). ![]() Golf: Golfing is the non-essential part of the CEO battle, but is still recommended. It does help facilitate a win, but golfing is not necessary as the golf balls do not cause damage. The main purpose of golfing is to help slow down the CEO’s movement. There are a total of 4 golfing tees, each with its own color of golf ball: Blue, Red, Yellow and Purple. Once he is hit with a golf ball, the CEO will slow down, giving time for the toons on the seltzer bottles to aim and shoot him with much more ease. ![]() Aim the golf club at the CEO by using the Right/Left keys. Hold down the Control (CTRL) key to strengthen the hit and distance of the golf ball. When the status bar is to the left, a short shot will be made (Fig. 7). If the status bar is far to the right, a long shot will be made (Fig. 8). When the CEO is hit with golf balls, his tracks will change color from gray to pink to dark red, which is directly related to the CEO's speed; red being the slowest. A successful hit will be marked by a puff of smoke that matches the color of the golf ball being used, i.e. a blue golf ball should make a blue puff of smoke. ![]() Fig. 7: Short Shot ![]() Fig. 8: Long Shot Once the CEO's treads have turned red, it takes a few minutes for his treads to start to turn pink and re-gain his speed. To keep his treads red and slow movement, toons must continue to hit him with golf balls. In failing to continue to hit the CEO with golf balls, and if lots of time is consumed during the CEO battle, the CEO will recover his speed. Strategy:Once the CEO has had enough hits with the seltzer bottles, he will yell out loud, “No! The chairman won’t like this” “Arrrggghhh!!!!” and gets demoted to a Flunky. Pink Slips: Pink slips are awarded after each successful CEO battle win. For each successful CEO battle win anywhere from 1-5 pink slips are awarded, which depends on the average cogsuit level (please visit The Chief Executive Officer: Cogsuit Levels and CEO Difficulty for more information). Higher average cogsuit level CEO's offer more pink slips. Pink slips are used to help demote/fire cogs in any battle sequence. One pink slip will fire any cog of any level, even V2.0 cogs. To fire a cog you must first click on the "Fire" button, then select the cog to fire. A cannon will appear underneath the cog you selected and will shoot the cog out of battle. ![]() Cogsuit Calculator: Included is a cogsuit calculator that allows you to calculate the difficulty of the CEO battle. I would like to thank chocoholic1415 for making this worksheet. You can select the suits that load the elevator from the drop down menus that are provided. The worksheet then calculates the average cogsuit for you. The Dogfather Last edited by The Dogfather; 10-06-2008 at 03:24 AM. |

Great guide! I did learn a couple new facts, including the color of the CEO's tracks indicating his speed.
I read the whole thing so here's some small details to make it that much better, hehe.
