Is Old King Crab really just Very Rare?

I have caught all but two of the very rare fish, Old King Crab and the Holey Mackeral. I caught all of my other very rares within the first 2 or 3 buckets. But I spent about 5 hours one day on Lighthouse Lane looking for the stupid thing. I must have fished 50 buckets, at least. But, alas, no Old King Crab. So my question is, is Batleth's guide correct in the respect that Old King Crab is just very rare? Or is it more like extremely rare?

well.. don't count on me but I think its rly rare because I had like about 4 toons and 2 are about like advance toons.. I've never caught one but I'm not sure

I caught the Old King on two toons within the first hour I started looking for it. On two toons. So I'd say you're just having bad luck.

I dont know where to catch it, never had.
But try estate for holey makerol i caught it there twice.
your lucky you kinda have easy fish because usually people have like all star needed.

if ur fishing with twig it will take that long.

on anyother rod it takes about an 1.

Keep fishing. I've caught that on some toons within a few buckets, and others took hours too.

I also think once you're down to the last two or three fish, your catch rate goes way down. My husband's been fishing for a couple of months now for his last two, still nothing. I'm down to two on my 109 and I'm having the same problem. It's like TT wants to halt your progress once you get close! EEEK!

It's luck. A friend of mine needed 70 buckets to catch the Old King (found All Star in the process) and my two toons caught it in 9 and 12 buckets respectively.

Keep fishing. I spent two hours on Maple Street looking for a Siamese Cat Fish with no luck. It's all luck.

I caught the Florence Nurse Shark, but a glitch made me loose a couple of my fish.

Off Topic : Holy Mackerels are often found in MML Pg while hunting pianos you can find one... you just need a bamboo rod and up and you can catch em with 2 buckets ^^ and also if you get a holy mackerel youll repeatedly get em in the same bucket ^^ Good Luck and trust me holy mackerel is not hard to find ^^

One of my toons was lucky enough to get the Old King Crab on the second cast, I bet you get it the next time you try.

I caught Old King crab on Lighthouse Lane. It took me several hours of non-stop fishing. I think its luck too.
I caught Baby Grand on Tenor Terrace and Grand Piano in MM playground. I am also still in need of grizzly, all star, full moon and concord. Just keep fishing, I think we will catch all the fish eventually, LOL
