It varies extremely, but i'd say a little over 10,000 is about average.

I have 67. Missing Grizzly, All Star, and Concord. Ok really it has only been 1 month and most of that has been spent racing, but I am still a good 15,000 fish since my last catch. A friend of mine bagged 20,000 since last new species and hasn't gotten another New Species yet. That stinks!

ok i have fished a good 10000 fish and i have 64 species. i really dont think anyone got stuck at this number and got some serious bad luck. just imagine what my bad luck will be like if i had the # of species you have.

i had an 8 month drought between my 62nd and 63rd fish. Which finally ended up being siamese on rlm street. My first bucket on that day. Almost fooled me into believing it was going to be easy to catch my 64th.

How do you know how many fish you have caught? Is there some file on the computer that keeps track? I could NEVER keep track of how many I cought all together... I have 60/70 and have not had a new species in months.

But then, I don't fish as much as I used to since I don't need the Jellybeans.
