Just out of curiosity....

Why do we need a new forum for this again? Its just a fishing game that you can only play one day a week. How many ways can you say "Oh I won!" or "I wish I could win!".

The discussion on this subject is very far limited

Yeah, I think threads belonging to the BINGO Wednesday games should be discussed at the Fishing Pond Forum.

Kids will have a good time posting their wins and stories here. Not only
that, but toons can post meeting times at certain ponds if they like.

Besides, it's the first ever toon vs. toon competition, and to me, that's
reason enough for BINGO to have its own forum.

Hey, it got you to ask the question at least. Not so useless, is it?

Well, I guess Trolley Games were the first Toon vs. Toon competition if they qualify as "competition."

The Trolley Rolley!
The place to talk about the Trolley Madness!

Hey guys!I won a game of Match Minnie!!!

While that is technically the case, trolley games don't come close to being TvT
compared to BINGO because they are all mutually beneficial (nobody loses). In
BINGO you can 'beat' all other toons out of the prize completely. That gives it a
totally different angle from Trolley gaming, which (imo) earns it a special place at TTC

In some trolley games, this is true, but sometimes, toons are put up against each other in tug-of-war. The winner usually receives 12-30 JB, depending on the playground and time taken to win, while the loser only gets a few. Thats not what i call mutually beneficial. And in Match Minnie, there is usually only one person to get a big pile of jellybeans, while the 'slower' players only receive a few. Tag, is another competitive sport. I've gone up against some players that are so good that i didn't recieve a single jellybean.

My point is, most of the multiplayer trolley games are highly competitive. True, BINGO offers rewards much greater than trolley games, but trolley games are far more competitive, while in BINGO you rely on mainly luck and some skill in aiming.

But, the reason why the mods have not created a forum for trolley games but have for BINGO is just the fact that BINGO offers bigger rewards, more people play it, and thus more people talk about it. Its kind of like when the mods created 'The Great Estate Escape' after the Playground forum began to be overflown with doodle posts.

It looks like Disney is going to keep bingo around for at least a while. Being new, I'm sure many people will want to post about it. I had several requests from users here for a new section just for bingo. I felt it would be best to keep bingo threads seperate from the normal fishing threads. As you can see in this section, that there are already a great deal of threads on bingo.

I thought that the rewards were split among the other toons at the pond. Is that for only some games?

heh, I guess I've been fishing too long. Point taken

I mischaracterized what I meant by TvT as it relates to competition. In BINGO
you can beat other toons without even clicking on the board, simply by waiting
until the button lights up and being the first to click on BINGO. In Trolley, you're
earning jellybeans based strictly on your performance.

Either way, there are several reasons why BINGO deserves its own forum, not
the least of which are the ones that you and I both mentioned

I thought blackout was the only one that was shared with other toons at the pond, but I could be wrong.

Yea I just now realized, the prize listed above the BINGO squares is awarded to
each toon no matter who clicks BINGO, provided someone does click it. So my
TvT observation is completely out of gas hehe

It's easy enough to verify.

As soon as a victory is imminent, cast away until you've all but drained your
jellybeans, then wait until someone else hits the BINGO button. Watch your
pouch once the BINGO button starts to flash. To test it further, spend all of
your jellybeans in your bank (through the cattlelog) 5 minutes before the top
of the hour so that you have just enough beans to fish. Then go fish! I've
observed that whatever reward is listed above the BINGO squares is what
you get.

Loosy is right - I tested this out both on Test and on Open last Wednesday - and every time someone yelled out "BINGO" (whether it was myself or someone I was fishing with) my jellybean jar got the jellybean prize that was offered.

I have yet to win Blackout Bingo when my jellybean bank wasn't full - but as the Bingo teaser originally said that the 10,000 jellybean prize was going to be shared, I would hope that it really was.

It must not be true for blackout because me and my friends won it and my bank would have been full.... Although I wasnt paying much attention anyway.
