Twig Rod NEW SPECIES Limit?

Just checking in with our fishing experts.

My black cat has just caught her 30th on twig. I'm putting off purchasing bamboo until until i've caught my limit on twig. However, I'm no longer sure if there is an actual (valid) reason to do so.

Anyhow, fished forever with another toon, but gave in to the bamboo prior to hitting 30, 28 even.

Has she reached her limit?

I think the highest possible is 38 species with twig rod

My toon Dusty got 37 species on his twig. He was dying to get that bamboo!
