The bingo game....

Bingo (Also, mods, there should be a bingo section in the fishing hole):

For those of you who do not know about bingo, every wednsday at sometime, there will be a bingo game. You must collect the fish you need to fill out your card. I'm not sure but, I think there will be a small icon that you can look at to see your card. Every hour, like the July 4th firworks, you can go to the dock and play a special bingo game. You must collect EVERY fish and at least one boot. The hard part is, everyone who once caught that fish, has an advantage. I will answer an questions as best as I can. You can also find this information on the front page if you click the link to the front page of the November Newsletter.

Boy do I hate getting the newsletter at the end of the month! I feel like I'm missing out on all the news!

This hasn't been taken effect on test yet, so I was waiting for it to hit there before making some kind of section or thread on it. It's just another way to make extra beans while fishing. From the front page, it sounds like everyone at a pond will participate together on the same bingo card. Guess we'll know how it works better once it hits test.

I actucally like it! Loads of fun. (im on test). To bad its only going to be on wensdays though... It should be on every day! Totally takes the dullness of fishing away...

Why doesnt Disney test things and then put it into the letter? Not everyone is on test. When will the bingo begin?

Yeah, it's on test now and so easy to do. It blocks most of the lower right of your screen, so don't even think about going for any fishing shadow that ends up going there. It hides most of your whispers as well. Since you have to actively keep hitting which spot you wish to place your catches, you spend more time messing with bingo than fishing. What do you win? You get even more beans that you don't need in the first place, for most of us that have maxed toons with maxed out JB banks..LOL! You only win from 20 to 80 beans, so if you'd just spend your time speed fishing, you'd make that with ease. It's nothing more than to distract us while we wait for real content to be released.

Either way, I'd like to wait till it comes on open and see how much posting comes from it. Personally, I feel there is little to discuss about it, but time will tell.

If you would like to hear my opinion, I think when it comes on open there will be a lot of fighting over who is going to fish where. You should be prepared for it maybe. I have had someone take my peir several times today while I was selling my fish. I just stood and laughed to myslef about it. I'm glad it was on test and not open. I believe most of the test people are quite understanding and friendly. I'm not complaining, just stating that it happened.

The kids love it by the way.

Oh I'm pretty positive that it will cause problems and many fights on open as well as the kids liking the addition to fishing. Fishing is boring to most kids and even some adults. Many that post here are quite serious about fishing and don't think it's boring. Bingo should help those that feel fishing is boring. I bet the first day bingo hit open, there will be tons of fighting over the piers. So far I count us lucky to have little arguements about fishing, but Disney has decided to add another area to the game that will cause conflict instead of team work. Creating a bingo section might help keep the hate and flaming threads to that area and away from the rest of the fishing hole's normal helpful and encouraging nature.

Just because I'm waiting to see how things develop for bingo, doesn't mean that people can't post their opinions. Feel free to post your thoughts on the subject.

That happened to me the first day bingo was out, also - I just had to pause and laugh. However, there are plenty more piers around Toontown, so I just wandered along. I'm sure it will be a whole OTHER matter when it happens in open, and the game is limited to Wednesdays between noon and 9pm!!

Can't imagine how Disney thinks that those kind of restrictions will help TT be the "happiest place on earth".

One thing that I am unsure about how it will work is that if you are in a Bingo game, but your bucket fills up, you stop fishing unless you go sell to the fisherman. Will that kick you out of the game? I know you can go back to get in the game, but what if someone else grabs your fishing place? What if you don't get back to the pier before the game ends?

On test, I haven't been in enough games to test this. Maybe I'll do that tonight now that the World of Warcraft Beta is ending...
