This is on Test (ONLY)
I can't go to your links as well. Though all the fish on test, do have different sound effects for each species group now. There seems to be a bug with the clowns and piano tunas as they don't have one at the moment. There is also a very nice dark blue background added to our fish in our books now. Trophy graphics have been improved and looking really sharp now. Some species groups pictures have also been edited and have improved graphics. Whichever tab you are on in your book, in the fishing section, is now highlighted yellow. All petshop clerks in playgrounds have been renamed. They all start with fisherman followed by a first name like fanny, frizza, etc.I'm sure, this will help with boredom for at least the first few times you hear them. Some sound effects are very loud and annoying, I hope they fix these. No other apparent changes to fishing, but only time will tell about rarity or location changes.

I keep wavering about whether I enjoy the fishing sounds or am terribly annoyed at them. If they were all as funny as the Nurse Sharks, I'm sure I wouldn't be as annoyed sometimes.
 This is another option that really pushes me toward adding multiple sound options on the "front" page of our books: Street/PG Music on/off, Fishing Sound Effects on/off, etc. Batleth is right -- some of these are darned noisy and I have already turned off sound once to not go crazy while I fished. This could be "just me" though as my music level on test is not nearly as even with sound effects as it is on open. (Test music level is much lower than sound effect level.) I do, however, love that the sound effects are perfectly choreographed to the fish's movement in the graphic. Gotta love those Balloon Fish! The backgrounds on the fishing pages are gorgeous -- reminds me of the colors in the DL PG pond. Oooooooo! Ahhhhhh! Happy Hoosierdog 105 on Open, 51 on Test |

Its funny how I caught a Nurse Shark on test yesterday at the noise was all like:
"Dr. White, telephone please, Dr. White." as if the Nurse Shark was really a shark.. I can give descriptions.. Well.. Star Fish says "Thank you very much!" in a Elvis like voice.. The Catfish makes a mad noise kinda ish like you scared it. The Dogfish barks I think... The Cutthroat Trout has a little pirate music and swishing noises of the sound.. The balloon fish makes a noise of inflating when it inflates.. I pretty much forgot the rest I think.. |

I thought the fish on open had noises too. I know they did once.
