How do you fight the BOREDOM!

I can't catch more than about three buckets before getting bored. Sometimes I can persevere for about a half an hour on hope, but thats about it. How do most of you combat the monotony of it all?

I enjoy listening to programs or music on both radio and TV while I fish.

Are you going for more than 60 species? My advice? Don't. It's not worth
fishing at the very least 100+ hours just to get 6 more species, with little
hope of getting all 70

i invite sfs to come over with me and we talk about funny and interesting stuff while we fish, its always better to fish with a buddy! (and in loosy goosy's case, fish with fans )

I like Loosy's idea, and it is what i do, but heres a way you don't have to do no work. Do a couple buckets till someone walks by (or in your room) and tell them sit down and use the mouse to throw the fishing line at the little moving shodows.....

Amen. Baron FINALLY got his 60th and his fishing days are done until there are changes made. I might fish with him if I am bored but no way I even try for 70. That last species took me FOREVER and I do not want to repete that 10 more times lol.

Those of you with the drive to keep on going for it are a different bread of player lol. Good luck to you all.

I got over trying to catch new species deliberately about two days after they released the Balloons, Cats & Dogs. When I need beans I fish. When a friend is fishing and I want to spend some time playing with him/her, I fish. Sometimes I get something new. Mostly...NOT.

Congrats Wizardhawk on Baron finally getting number 60. I gotta hand it to ya for tossing that line in so many times for that one blasted Allstar fish.

every now and then i will spend a little time in ddl doing some fishing, but thats only cause 7 of the 10 fish i still need is in ddl. otherwise i fish when i need beans and dont feel like robbing my bank.

I was quite lucky getting to 60 - I wasn't trying, and caught three very rare fish. I'd suggest concentrating on having fun instead of looking at fishing as a job. There are more important things than having 60+ fish!

The hope of bagging the next new species with every cast was and is still fun
for me, but I have a hard time recommending that path to anyone once they've
hit 60, especially since most of the players are kids. Their time is better served
elsewhere no doubt, such as school studies

What I usually do is my sf conventions. *Just warning, they don't also come out so great. Other than that, I like listening to music why doing Toontown. Just don't listen to sad stuff. Makes you more bored.

Chatting with good s/f helps past the time really fast. Listening to music does help too. Like zmaster said, not that sad-slow stuff. Put some heavy or hard rock stuff in. Something to keep you alive and movin' and not put you to sleep..lol. Try some Godsmack, Pantera, or Metallica (parental advisery on these groups, but it's what I listen to..lol). You'll be casting to the beat in no time..LOL. You can even do a few buckets, then take a building or factory run, then back to fishing. Helps break things up for you. My wife reads while fishing. Just gotta find your way of dealing with it and keeping your mind active while doing something that can really get boring fast.

that is fabulous...i know that last one was very tedious for you but if you ever want to go to a street for ultra rare, let me know..i'll keep deedee awake for you to tp to..lol...
congratulations..as for me..i keep on fishing and hoping...of course have to build my other toons also, but i have to fish...cant get rid of this bug...
