Really - what would you do if you DID get all the fish??

I was thinking about it, and TT wouldn't be as fun if I didn't have all the fishing to do. Even though it frustrates the heck out of me

I still have plenty of VPs to battle, but you guys who are pretty maxed out - what would you do if you did get all the fish? Would you stop playing until the next big update? Or would you make another toon and play them?

I have 10 other toons that all need all 70 species.

This is the biggest complaint I have about the difficulty in bagging all species.
It's not just the difficulty for 1 toon. It's that all my others need all the species
as well, which at this rate would take me over 3 years!

Disney is using fishing to keep us around to keep our interests while they continue to work on other things for us to do. If we'd get bored, then we'd quit, and they'd loose money. Even if we could get all 70 species, there will be another 30 released later next year. They might just break it up into 15 species released at a time to keep us goateed into playing till they have more HQs and other things they are working on, ready for us. I'm positive, that fishing will be much easier later down the road when they have a great deal more for us to do to keep our interests.

Some people were starting to get tired of constant factory and VP runs, so they released 20 more species to keep them interested in TT. Most people here at TTC are stuck around 60 species and getting frustrated with it. So, Disney is releasing Doodles to get us some new material for us to keep playing and paying. Typical business practices for big companies these days.

I don't think Disney realized just how many adults and teens were going to play TT. We tend to complete tasks very fast and move our toons along very quickly to maxing. If I had more time, like I used to, it'd only take me about 2 weeks to get a toon from just made to 107 laff. But there are certain safeguards in place to slow this type of quick acceleration of toons. Like getting a new rod every 4 weeks and actually being able to catch all 70 species.

Frankly, if and when I get all species, whether that is 70 or 100 species, Disney will have other things for us to do to keep our interests in playing. I have 5 toons now. 3 on test and 2 on open. 3 of these are over 100 laff. The other 2, I just started playing towards the end of July. I feel doing constant factory runs and VP runs gets boring really fast. Oh sure, I've done them a great deal, but couldn't do them day in and day out like I could do with just find and defeating cog buildings. So, I'm working on the impossible task of getting all species and got a couple of newbie toons to play around with..lol.

Though TT is hardly the only game I play. I beat the following games in the month of July:
Emperor: Battle for Dune
Starfleet Command 3
Age of Wonder 2
Delta Force: Black Hawk Down & Team Sabre (expansion pack)
Star Wars Jedi Knights: Outcast
Star Wars Jedi Knights: Jedi Academy
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

I had actually already retired my main before CHQ even opened. My 2nd toon was very close to 100, when CHQ opened and I switched back to first. So yes, I get bored fast. I will not get to 70 fish before I retire. Pretty time consuming just to get to 65 never mind 70. 60 fish will be it for me, unless I somehow get a lucky cast during some wait time or other.

Nope, when I get holly 50 I will retire until new content. Then I can work some more on my second toon (101 now). Doodles, or no doodles. Fish, or no fish. Only thing bring me back would be PG or HQ.

Prince Peppy Gigglebounce
110 max no lure
Mr. Holly 47

P.S.
Oh, Batleth. It cracks me up when I hear people say 'factory gets boring', but can put months into fishing to go from 67 to 68 fish. I think fishing gets boring fast, its vp runs that are almost exciting.

As far as I know, there isn't anyone at 67, but even still, I'm happy you are
amused by the fact that there's diversity in amusement

Would it

really hurt Disney to add new fish species each month?

Why should there only be 50 species for months, and then 70 for months?

Why don't they add a new species each month? Some big toons get lot of extra laff points by doing the vp, why should low laffers that don't do vp miss out on some extra points.

I bet, it's just easier to add the programming, test, and release a group of species at a time than just one species a month. Would be kind of nice, though. Give us fisher toons something to look forward to each month.

rkhooda, everyone likes different things about TT. I think, this is what makes it such a popular game. Personally, I find fishing relaxing and nice to do when I'm not feeling up to much else. I still do VP and factory runs, every now and then. If asked, I won't hesitate to go help a friend. It's just not a high priority for me. You seem to enjoy it enough to keep playing and that's kewl too. There seems to be enough diversity to keep most people happy with TT.

Saindor, I actually missed buying Dark Forces 2. I do have the original Dark Forces game. I was just too busy with real life when it was in stores. I don't bother with most older game titles now, due to WinXP compatibility issues.

Me not cryptic, me indian... Me eat doodles in Spring, and fish in fall. You can come to my house and hang out in my teepee.

By the way, would eastern indian be a Bangladeshy?

Actually I understand what you mean about fishing being relaxing, it is. I actually like real life fishing too, and for the same reason. Its just that I think, fishing is as much work as VP (if not more).
