About on average how many fish should you have when you get the steel rod? I have 32 fish, before using the steel rod, and i CANNOT CATCH ANY NEW FISH!! ITS REALLY ANNOYING!!

If your that stuck, I'd go ahead and buy the steel rod. You can still catch the lower rod needed fish with the steel, so it's not like your missing out on them. You'll just have to work on getting them with the steel rod later. No biggie. You just might find it is easier to catch some of the rarer fish with the steel rod. I know I do. The steel is great. It can catch all species, but the bulldog fish so far. You'll get more beans with it and get a ton of new records right after you start fishing with the steel rod. Sometimes it takes little things like that to keep you going through an almost impossible task..lol.

Piano Tuna
Clydesdale Sea Horse
Arabian Sea Horse
Panda Bear Acuda
Kodiac Bear Acuda

The Steel isn't really a great step up compared to the other rods, but there's five easy ones to get.

Well, i have alreadt caught the panda bear acuda on my hard wood, and also the kodiac bear. And i just bought the steel rod and caught the Arabien Sea Horse and the Clydesdale. It sems that thats all the new species i can get so far.

Do you have a screen shot or remember the stats of the panda you caught with the hardwood? I have it listed as being only catchable with steel or gold rods. I've never seen one small enough to be caught with the hardwood.
Well you should be able to catch the rest of the 50 species with the steel rod. Just have to keep fishing, i guess.

nope, im really sorry. I sure i hope i can catch all 70 now that the new fish are coming. Yeah, thats all i can really do is fish a lil more

No problem. Thought I'd ask since there was a difference. I'm sure someone else will catch one. Most of the new species are fairly easy to catch. I'm sure you wont have much problem with them, unless Disney changes their rariety value. Good luck!
