Luck or does this sound right?

OK... I was glad I just got my new Bamboo rod about a 1/2 hour ago and I was ready for a long hard day of fishing. This was my plan of attack.

1. Goto TB and get a Frozen Fish
2. Goto MM and get a Rock Star
3. Goto DG & DD to get the three Pool Sharks
4. Goto Est and get Holey Mackerel
5. Go back to TB and get Alaskan King Crab
6. Goto Lighthouse Lane and get Old King Crab
* - Hope for Devil Ray at any location.

This is how it worked out:

1. I got a Frozen Fish and a Rock Star in my first bucket at TB
2. I got all three pool sharks in my first two buckets at DG
3. I got Holey Mackerel in my 3rd bucket at Est
4. I got Alaskan King Crab on my first bucket when I went back to TB

(Still haven't tried for OKC yet).

If the guide is true I caught some rare/very rare fish easy. Was I lucky or is the guide off a bit?

Holey Mackarel is mega rare and there are only 50 fish soon 70 not 800! He means different species not number of fish caught!

You want to hear about extremely lucky????????????????? This morning I caught a Devil Ray!!!!!!! The following hour of fishing all over I caught the Kodak Acuda then the Florence shark then I caught not 1 but 2 holey macroles!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I will be playing the lotto tonight lol. Now that is ultra lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Olympic Pool Shark isn't common at all. I've fished quite a bit and caught maybe... 10 of them? Holey Mackeral is one of the current ten rarest fish. Alaskan King Crab is at least uncommon.

Now, take into consideration that we're talking about the Bamboo Rod and very few bucket counts. It's not that it's impossible, just VERY improbable.

Then again, I've fished for DAYS (a few hours at a time) with no new species using the STEEL ROD. Then, all of a sudden I nabbed the All Star and Kodiac Bear Acuda within a day of each other finally bringing me to 40 fish (I posted screenshots in another thread). So, perhaps that would seem just as incredible if I neglected to mention that I fished a long time before that "streak"...

In any case, it's an impressive collection for only 7 buckets. Whether or not it's a "fish story" (ouch, bad pun)... only one person knows for sure.
