I thought they fixed the golden rod!

Alas I fear my 2000 Jb's were pd for smoke and mirrors. 18 buckets of fish no new species! What kind of mickey mouse opration is this! I was told it was fixed... yeah right! I want my steel rod back and my 2k of jelley beans! This stinks!

Umm I caught up to 40 on my gold rod after the update. Poor luck I suppose.

You bet poor luck. I've been fishing with the thing since the first day of the update. So far I have cought absolutly nothing new, apart from the few that I got with steel.
I give up. The fishies hate me.

Regretfully i retunrned to MM where i got 2 new species.... in 1 bucket. Player Piano Tina, and Florence Nurse shark. I did sacrafice a live chicken and nail a horse shoe above my computer. Hmmmmmm

I've caught several species with my gold rod since they updated it. I just need two more to reach 40, then I can start going for those really rare ones.

I have gotten to 44 species including all the piano tunas. This was with the gold rod after the update. Before the update I was stuck at 38, and had no hope for more. They just didn't come. I believe all I need now are 3 moon fish, the grizzly bear acuda, the all star, and of course the illusive old king crab.

So it is possible. Just keep trying.

Going on bucket of fish number 83! Nothing new... any tips on spots to fish? I have worn out the playground ponds, and have begun the street pond fishing, are some hotter than others, foir new species?

same with me day of the update i got 3 new with hardwood and went and got steel out of the mail box got 3 more new real quick and went and ordered gold real quick and never got another new fish since,,,,stuck at 38 forever!

Don't know if it will help or not, but.... I caught the devil ray in punchline place with 2 different toons. I caught a second one with Frizzy Lizzy in MM playground. I caught the grand and baby grand piano tona in MM playground, the kodiak bear acuda in TB playground. My son-in-law caught one there just last night. I caught the scruvy cutthroat in barmacle blvd, and the Captain as well, but he is plentiful in the playground of DD too. Caught all the sea horses in my estate, and the holey maackerel too. I haven't caught any new species in a while, but I think it is because I am working on the very hardest ones now

Hope that helps. Don't give up, and if there is still a bug, I'm sure they will fix it.

You got that right. I am really enjoying the gold rod since the update. Anyone who says otherwise, just don't know what we went through before the update with it. I get tons of beans and have several species with the gold rod so far.
