Uh oh, up until now some thought the gold rod was bugged and you can't get new species. Looks like alot of the remaining fish are super-mega rares. Disney is going to make hermits out of some toons

Problem is Tornado, the only 3 species I've seen anyone get with gold are ones that are catchable with lower rods. I still haven't heard of anyone catching a gold-only fish yet.

well there was a report of the grizzly bearacuda being caught, and i think the grand...i've caught a clydesdale sea horse myself(on the 7th cast with gold ) i've yet to catch the arabian, tho, i've been looking
