Yup, while I was fishing, if my memory serves me right, I caught 2 Devil Rays, 2 Grizzlys, 3 All Stars and 2 Holey Mackerels.

My test toon Rock needs the Devil Ray to max fishing. I was fishing this morning and caught an All Star and a Concord that I didn't need.
I remember on my toon Horse right after I got the Concord as a new species, within the next 5 buckets I got 2 Devil Rays that I didn't need. On Hollyhocks when I got the Devil Ray as a new species, in the next bucket I got another Devil Ray. I have gotten so many multiple ultra rares I can't count that high. Matt

I have caught the Holey Mackerel and the Bull Dog Fish numerous times but still have 13 fish to go.

No lie about this when it comes to fishing im kinda lucky. In DDL i got these:
Devil Ray-caught about 8 times Concard PB&J-caught about 20 times.. lol Still searching for that Full Moon./ My siste got it in 2 tries! errgh HAPPY THANKSGIVING! |

Despite the calculations posted elsewhere, this continues to lead me to believe fishing is NOT totally random. I, too, have caught multiple Devil Rays, after finally catching the first one. Yet, I have NEVER caught a Full Moon on any toon (but I keep trying)
I keep reasonably good records, and it seems apparent to me that once you "break through" and catch one ultra rare, you will be much more likely to catch it going forward. It took over 15,000 catches to get my Grizzly on Candy Sparkleface - but I have caught 2 in the last 1,000 or so.... I hate fishing. If I didnt' want a 132 so bad, I'd quit now! (at least you can do it while on a conference call!  Craig

Wow, good job to all of you guys. I know I don't have the patience to catch that many ultra rares. And Matt, you're just plaing lucky LOL! And Little Pancake-20 Concords!! "I doubt it." Well, you are EXTREMLEY lucky if you have caught that many!

I am sorry I didn't give enough information. Here you go. I fished 50 buckets in the playground this morning and got a All Star. I fished 5 buckets on Walrus and got a Concord. I fished 85 buckets in the playground this afternoon and in the 23rd bucket got a Grizzly and in the 53rd bucket got another Grizzly. All of this fishing was done in the Test Town district and none of these fish are new species for me.
I have gotten in Total for Ultra Rares on my test toon Rock. 1 Grand 4 Concord 3 Grizzly 2 All Star 1 Full Moon zero Devil Ray Cya on the ponds, Matt
