MAXED IN FISHING? Curious about last fish stats!

I'm looking for feedback from those of you that have maxed fishing toons and worked hard for your last fish. So many fishing rumors, superstitions, guesses, and tales thought it might be useful to get some real people stats.

1. What was your last fish.
2. How many fish/buckets did it take for your last fish.
3. Did you stay in one dist/pond or switch districts.
4. How many total fish to max fishing.

Just looking for an average here, lol.. oh and lucky fisherman (you know who you are) please don't reply.
No offense, just want realistic numbers.

I don't consider myself a cursed fisher but for my last fish on one of my toons that took 31k I did the following. I scanned the fishing forum seeking any district where the fish I was looking for was caught. I then made a note of the districts and started to fish. I did 30 buckets in the PG and then switch to do 30 buckets on the most noted street where that fish can caught (Alto). After 60 buckets In the first district I switched to the next district and repeated this. However, this is how I fish for all my ultras so I guess you can do it for whatever your looking for. I'm not one to stay in one district all day I like to move around even if it's for 2min to run to the next spot.

I also made an attempt to average at least 3.5k a day until i was rewarded no breaks just keep at it. GL to to you Cal (can't help not assuming this is for you hehe)

When I started fishing I neeeded 7 fish.
19,800 Devil Ray
15,111 All Star
4,500 Concord
3,960 Grizzly

26,582 Bull Dog (was fishing for the full moon and leaveing the bull dog for last but was suggested to go get it because I was haveing a tough time with the full moon and actually caught bull dog in one bucket lol then back to the full moon if that just made sense :P)
60,875 Full Moon (PHEW!)
Total 160,446
One thing I might add is I had remade this toon and maxed her in sell, cash and law in a few months, so I hardly ever fished before this. I do wonder if that made a difference because I had to catch so many. I mostly did 5 buckets each pier and changed districts but I also tried staying in one place and yelling at the fisherman. I fished for 48 days

Cough, cough here goes Calvin! Never kept track on my first two toons. Here's the breakdown on Mercedes:

Grizzly - caught in TB playground - 10,580 fish - 4-15-07
Full Moon - caught in DDL, Lullaby Lane - 54,024 fish - 5-15-07
Concord - caught in TB playground - 27,680 fish - 6-4-07
Grand - caught in MML playground - 16,000 fish - 6-13-07

Total of 108,284 fished for last 4 fish, 2 months of fishing. Fished a little more than that, but started keeping track on Grizzly. Started out staying in same district on last fish, fished in MML Playground and Alto Avenue. Wasn't working so started switching districts, 20 in playground and 20 on Alto Avenue. I also always fished in the district I logged into and districts where others found fish. Always fish on the same dock, never switch! Grand came after 16,000 fish. Hope this helps, now go find the FULL MOON!!!

I don't know the exact # of fish or buckets since I only kept track when I was going fishing for long periods of time. Here's the approximate amounts though (all caught in Winter/early Spring 2005)

#67 Full Moon - 6,000
#68 Grizzly Bear - 82,000
#69 Concord PB&J - 9,000
#70 Grand Piano - 32,000

Total - around 130k

I was so bored and desperate while fishing, especially for my Griz/Concord! I tried every trick in the book - every district, 1-10 buckets in each district going down the line, keep switching piers, try every pond, do 1 bucket in every pond in every PG & street, search for all possible new records, you name it! I think I was losing my mind a bit LOL

When I finally got to my Grand though, I parked myself on ONE pier in ONE district and STAYED there!

I stopped counting a while ago 'cause I stopped my fishing streak.
I ended up catching in DL PG on my third bucket.

Since it was the Devil Ray, I moved around. I didn't care about the District though.

Matt Wild Horse - I spent most of my time in goofyport on this toon. I fish about 50,000 fish for my 68th fish the Grand Piano and about 15,000 fish for my 69th fish the Concord. I didn't do alot of switching of ponds and districts. I caught the Full Moon the same day as the Concord, I just changed from playground to lullaby when I got the Concord and soon after poped up the Full Moon.
Good ol' Mildew Pinkerklunk - This was my first toon. I fished alot as a newbie. I had the All Star before I knew it was a good thing. The Holey Mackerel was my 68th fish got the Holey Mackerel about 20,000 total. After about 50,000 fish I got the Concord. I did do alot of switching of districts but not much switching of ponds. It took me another 50,000 to get my Full Moon.
Matt Wilder Horse - I fished mostly in Crazyham. I did about 18,000 for my Grizzly as my 68th fish that was my biggest stretch. Then I got my Concord in about 10,000 fish. Then I got my last fish the Devil Ray in about 6,500 fish all of those in Crazyham and all in the Brrrgh playground.
Flash - I started fishing this toon strangly I fished only in Crazy River DDL playground for his first 55,000 fish. I got my Devil Ray, Concord, Holey Mackerel, All Star, and Full Moon right there. The Full Moon was at 55,000 fish and was my 46th fish. I fished about 10,000 more fish in Crazy River Alto Avenue then I went and got all the easy fish. Took me about and hour to get from 46 to 68. Got the Siamese and Old King and the others very easy. Took me about 10,000 more fish to get the Grand Piano. And almost an additional 50,000 fish to get the Grizzly.

In my fishing I have noticed that the amount of boots changes when records or ultras are about to appear. I have also notice that if I get a record fish especially a more extreme rare or ultra rare record the one I need will come soon. I especially like new record Holey Mackerels. Fishing where others catch fish is usually a good thing. There was alot of people catching fish when I was catching them on my pig in Crazyham. I also think your toon at some point will have a lucky day. When you catch a ultra rare don't stop fishing that day if possible. More may be on the way. I have seen it happen too many times. The best fish to have for your last is the Devil Ray or the All Star. I have never seen anyone go for very long with those as the last.

In reality I don't believe in many theroys. Fishing on Bingo days. Logging out and in. A few buckets in every district. Blah blah blah..... all good theroys only for one reason (they keep you fishing and that is the biggest problem for most people that fish, is that they don't fish enough). I do believe that you can get lucky and I do believe that there is just something different on some days that causes a toon to catch fish I can tell when I am about to catch a fish or when I am having a good day (there is just something different about the buckets I catch). You have to hope for luck and never stop. If anyone truely wants to max fishing you should try to fish 3,000 fish per day. My plan is fish for the Grand, Full Moon, Grizzly and Concord first. Then if you still have the All Star or Devil Ray left go fish the Brrrgh pg until you get them.

Hi Scarlet,

This morning I finally caught my last fish so I can add my 5 cents to this. To say Fishing has been a complete and utter nightmare for me will be a huge understatement.lol I counted up my stats and here is how it goes.

1. My last fish was the concord
2. 73,466 fishes./ 3,764 buckets
3. I did both.
4. How many total fish to max fishing. 192,782 (it's actually more. because my friend fished countless hours for me too)

I definitely tried all the fishing theories. Fished in the district where others had caught it recently. Not sure if it worked for me this morning or not. I browse the thread on my laptop. I saw granny peanut's post where she caught the concord in nutty river. however I fished countless hours in NR for the concord without luck. So this morning I started fishing in the district I landed in which was silly rapids. fished several buckets. then while I went to turn in my bucket, a toon took the pier I was fishing at (thank you pink dog.lol) So i decided what the heck. let me try nutty river and after 12 buckets I landed the concord. Fishing is not easy whatsoever. You have to keep at it and not give up eventually you will get them all. Trust me I'm proof of that.

Umm, my last fish was Concord.
It took me 2 months to get it and I fished for about 6hours each day.
I've never changed districts, I always fished in goofyport (because it's empty...) at the same pond. Instead of wasting my time changing districts, I was fishing. (verrrry bad english..too late zz)

My last fish was the Grand. It took around 10,000 for it to appear. I stayed in the district I logged into and didn't switch docks. In all, it took around 40,000 to 50,000 fish. The Grizzly gave me some trouble (30,000 to 40,000), but compared to some of your experiences, it wasn't any trouble. The other ultra rares weren't too bad...I caught the concord after like 3 days of fishing, the devil ray after a week of light fishing, and I got the others within like 10 buckets.
