Why bother?

Seriously though........ why bother catching all 70 fish? now i'm not new to this game, so don't give me responses like, " getting 70 fish gives you 7 laff points and laff poiints = more strength so that's good!" [no, really einstein!], I'm just curious why people spend hours, days, months, sometimes even years trying to catch 70 fish? This is a game right? Then why go on catching thousands of fish and then complaining and whining that you didn't catch the fish you wanted? You're supposed to be having fun right? well clicking a pole back in forth in front of a computer screen for hours definitely DOESN'T sound like too much fun to me. I mean, I know how people talk about 129s, but is 128 really all that different.... as far as I'm concerned 128s get exactly the same amount of attention and respect as 129s do.... 127s receive it too. So why spend all that time for a fish your not guaranteed to get at any point during your lifetime? just my thoughts. All you "Milton Ts" type people out there ( desperate 129 wannabes) can chill at the pond, but don't count on me joining you, I'll be back in the C.F. O. vault... that is if I hadn't quit already.

Clicking a mouse in front of a computer screen isnt much fun. I have just begun to seriously fish (got 64 so far) and while its very boring, it and racing are my only challenges left. Sure i could make another toon, but to me going through the same tasks again would be just as boring as fishing. I keep my play time intresting by mixing my fishing with helping friends out and going on ccg boss runs.

For me the differnce from 128 to 129 is if your 129 you have beaten the game. For some they may get to 100 and think ok i made it to 100 thats good, my work here on this game is done. But theres that handful of people that reach 100 and don't stop there and want to keep moving on. My guy is 128, and i have been playing this game for so long I don't feel my work on this game is done until i get all of those fish and max my guy. That's me and my oppinion, no one told you you have to play so if you don't want to max with the others that is up to you.

interesting way to think about it, but I honestly think no one ever beats this game. Theres always something else. Record number of cfo's/vps/cjs, soloing, two manning, new toons, I swear this game never ends. and I think your missing the point... I'm tired of seeing people whining WHY DO I HAVE TO FISH FOR 3 HOURS STRAIGHT?! no one's making them. and for the record, i quit tt a while ago.

That's the fun of it. When you max your toon, you get something else to get to max next

Everyone has different goals and interests. If they wanna spend all their time catching those fish and they really love the game..how bout it. But I agree with you..I'm not going to waste my time trying to catch 70 fish when I know I'm probably one of the most unluckiest and laziest people in this world.

I am a 110 laffer with 68 fish, and although I hate fishing, I am not going to give up. There are other things I could do like cfos, vps, racing, cjs, or even work on another toon, but I don't feel like starting over or doing anything else until I finish fishing. And if people want to go all the way to 129 so they know they have beaten the game, even though the game is never ending[which is the whole fun of it], they can. Nobody is making you fish, nobody is making you max, nobody is making you play. There is a reason why people fish and there is a reason why people bother.

How about this reason.....so its easier to get the last 30 fish..if Disney ever restocks the ponds with new fish so we can fill up that empty space on our trophy shelf!

I myself will be happy knowing that I did that final hardest battle just to get that last laff point. Just a personal achievment. Would do so even if it was my own personal toon that no one else saw....it's just the feeling of that final task accomplished

Well, James, the difference between a 128 and a 129 is that the 129 did the hard work and didn't give up, was determined and didn't quit until they got all their fish. To me someone like that deserves a lot more respect and kudos than a 128. Although, some people get lucky and some really unlucky people fish lots and lots and lots and still stay at 128. That is the disapointing part, you don't kno who really deserved it and who didn't. But in my eyes 129 is someone who worked and worked to max. Yes this game is for fun, but isn't doing repetive steps in the hqs boring ? Esspecially once your maxed? I think so. So some people think I got through all of it, why not just finish it? My main toon is pretty high and eventually I'll fish..eventually and eventually I'll race, but I see my toon as just any other 100 laffer, whether it being 105 or 125 until I max it out. Sure no one makes anyone fish, its all a matter of opinion. Some people think it's worth it, others don't. I don't think its worth it but I feel a need to do it, I've done a lot of things on this game that are quite triumphant but until I finsih it 100 percent to the max laff points I don't feel as if I finished.

In my opinion, there is a huge difference in 128, and 129. A 129 is someone that worked as hard as they could to beat the game, and a 128 is someone that got far, but came up short(Not saying thats bad). You, may sit there and say thats no accomplishment, and you don't understand why ppl care so much about that last laff point, but it is an accomplishment that many ppl care about, and many ppl will go out of there way to complete, and I don't see anything wrong with that. I know the laff point doesn't make much of a difference with in game play, but trust me when I say it is a difference, seeing as how I was once 128, and I am now 129, I would know. You feel a sense of accomplishment having that 1 more laff point, trust me. More ppl show me respect in battle, and around the streets, maybe they're sucking up to me to become my friend but none the less its still respect lol. I guess this is just an opinionated topic that not everyones gonna agree on, but thats ok... Some ppl will fish till they catch them all, and some give up, or just don't mind not catching them all, and thats fine. This is a game to play for fun, and you can do whatever you want with it.

The starter of this post...you are doing the exact some thing that u said you dont like, ppl complsining and starting these kind of threads. (not actual complaining but something similiar)

But I actaully look at a 129 so much different than a 128, one maxed one isnt...plain as that.

U dont need an explanation y ppl do it, u know that 129 is in a while nother ballpark than a 128. This thread really doesnt need to be here.
