Yesterday i fished for 16 hours strait in an attempt to get the grizzly, in that time i caught 10,200 fish, and didnt catch it. It annoys me how toontowns fishing system works, it makes no sense at all why some ppl can catch all 70 without even trying and others have to fish for a month to catch 1 new species, i know i might sound like im whing but try fishing for 16 hours strait in one day and not getting one new fish. My last 2 fish are the Grand and the Grizzly, ive been fishing for the grizzly for about 35k now and still nothing, in that time ive seen 2 ppl walk up to the same pond that i was fishing at and in there 2nd or 3rd bucket they got something new(which was probably the Grizzly, because i was on Walrus Way when it happend both times) What i dont get is how i can fish at that same pond for 5 days strait and not get that dumb fish, but someone can just walk up and get it on there 2nd bucket, how does toontown work this dumb system? Im glad that i did something that not to many ppl have, which is catch 10k+ in one day, but i would have been happier if i got somthing out of it, but instead i just got 16 hours of boredem...

Wow, that's impressive, and weird. You would think after THAT many fish you'd catch that Grizzly. I don't know, I can't really help you. But good luck.

You are on the right track. I fished for almost 60,000 fish without a new species going for the grand. Your last few fish are harder than the ones before. I really don't think fishing is as random as ppl believe. I noticed that as I fished more and more the size of the fish I caught in general appeared to be increasing in size. I think fishing is based on numbers of fish caught, boots caught, or new records caught. I believe that one of these 3 things or a combination of all increases your odds of catching fish. So in other words if you fish alot, you will catch them. My bet is that when you catch that next fish within about another 20K ot 30K and the other will be soon behind it, maybe about 10 to 20K more. I don't know too many people (I may be wrong), but I personally don't know anyone that has been stuck at 1 more fish for too long always seemed like they catch the last fish within about 10K to 20K.

I read ur post earlier and didnt think it was too unusual considering how many fish I have caught since I hit 69. But when I saw u on top toons, I almost fell out of my chair. Ten thousand fish in one day with no new species is just cruel. Sometimes I think I am insane for fishing. But then I think about my friends who have all 70 and I think I can do it to. But I cant LOL.

I know you have been working hard as I have seen you on top toons numerous times for fishing. And 10k fish in one day is amazing. I can only get about half of that for the same amount of time. Although I do often have to let my toon fall asleep on the dock for a few minutes while I take care of the kiddos, make lunch, etc. And I am a lazy fisherman and think I nod off often as well.

Anyhow, I feel your frustration, so I REALLY hope this helps you! I finally caught the Grizz tonight after about 30,000 fish after catching #68 back before LBHQ came out. It took me about 40,000 fish to go from #67 to #68. I know because I was keeping track of it when making top toons and then some. If you are still looking for Grizz, try Loonyville, Brrgh PG. I caught it there at 8:50pm PST on Tuesday night. I was on the dock facing the Trolley with Fisherman Frizzy to the back/left of me. I'll post the screenshot so you can see.

i have allways said this i believe that by fishing alot you are making things worse because you allways expect to catch it, and are let down. you are better off starting earlier and fishing 2000-3000 a day. they will eventually come. trying to force the issue never works.
my grizzly took me 30 days at 2ooo fish a day.
