Bigger pole, smaller toons

I just noticed something sorta odd...Deputy Furball Ruffleface (my former Elder Helper) has the bamboo rod. BUT he can only carry 40 jellybeans. Each cast with the bamboo rod uses 2 jellybeans, which means he has to have a successful catch on each cast to make it worth it. Even if he catches 5 Nurse Sharks and sells them to the clerk, he's only going to have 40 beans on him at any one time.

To me it just seems sorta silly to offer higher level rods to toons that can't carry that many JBs; especially since Max and Scooter haven't been offered bamboo rods yet, after 2+ cattlelogs.

Yes, but the remaining beans go in your jellybean jar at home. So even if you have only 40 beans, the surplus will be waiting at home for you.

I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to when the bamboo rods are delivered in your cattlog. Of the four toons I play, my eldest (100 lp NOT maxed) received her bamboo rod first. My next eldest (100 lp fully maxed) did not receive the bamboo rod. My third eldest (55 lp) received the rod while my youngest (55 lp) did not receive it. So go figure.....why did the 55 laffer receive it before the 100 laffer? Who knows..... But I agree that it doesn't make sense for a toon who can only carry 40 jbs to get the bamboo rod. Maybe Disney figures it will provide incentive for those younger toons to advance.

Go figure, my noob I only use for elder tasks has a hardwood rod offered in the cattlelog on test. That toon cant afford the bamboo rod and paying for bait on the hardwood is out of the question. My higher level toon is still waiting for the bamboo to appear. (sigh)

New rod? What's that? I am really hoping that they fix whatever is going on with the cattlelogs. My main test toon has had two (2!!!) new cattlelog dates pass by with nothing but that crazy messed up front page and all the same old backorder stuff inside. Talk about disappointing.
