Fishing on Open...

I was just playing the open and I noticed a lot of people fishing and fighting....line up to fish at each dock in the playgrounds.

I just wanted to remind people that there are fishing holes on the streets as well...just start running down the street and you will see where they are.

Some poor toon was trying to show them saying follow me and running to the street but he was ignored, when I checked out the pond on the street it was empty.

There are many places to fish so look around folks!

yeah and i dont know abotu anyoen else but i gto 11 species so far and recived an extra laff point so im at 101 now and got my guppy trophy

Do they keep track of the fish that you have caught cause i filled my bucket and didn't see anything in my bucket except for the amount of species i have caught. Do i just keep fishing till i get a trophy?

Yes, they keep track of everything you caught. I thought that too when I sold my first bucket. After you sell them you can see at the bottom of the screen in your shticker book how many species you caught. I caught 12 and got my Guppy trophy too. At first I think I was casting and spending more jelly beans than I was earning until I got the hang of it. Fun!!! Does anyone know if there is a way to tell which fish might be the rare ones? Perhaps the bubbles that are moving fast and hard to get? Also, when do the fishing rods hit the cattlelogs? Thanks!!!

the trophies and laff points come only after you catch intervals of 10 DIFFERENT SPECIES of fish. you can catch bucketful after bucketful of fish but if they are all the same few species then you still won't have a trophy or extra laff point. be sure to hit the ponds everywhere because some species are only available in certain neighborhoods.

I figured it out that you had to aim for the shadows & bubbles on the ponds. LOL. I'm getting pretty good at this already! hehehe. I'm guessing next cattlelog maybe they'll have fishing poles. But as I said, I'm guessing...

yes the shadows are fish but even if you don't hit the shadow when you cast leave your line in the water and you'll catch one if the fish passes your line but watch the timer or you'll put your pole away

My toons on test got the new fishing pole in cattlelog #12. But since my open toons are already past that cattlelog and many of you are too, then I would asume we will get them in the next cattlelog.

Just got Cattlelog #12 for King Wetrat, it had a new Fishing Rod in it, cost 400 JB's. Ordered it this AM, guess I have to wait until tomorrow to get it. My two big toons, got #12 on Wednesday, no Rod. Dunno how they work those cattlelogs!

BTW, I spent a lot of JB's this morning casting, and casting, and casting... If you don't get something right away, wait... the fish can and do swim by and get caught.

I don't think it has anything to do with the catalog number, actually. I assume that they will be available in the first catalog you receive AFTER the update occurred based on your normal catalog delivery day-of-the-week. So those of us who get em on Wednesdays have to wait til next Wednesday... I think my toon Hoot gets his on Friday nights. Guess I'll be on with him tonight!

On open I think we should get it in the next cattlelog. It's just on test I had to wait with one toon for cattlelog 12 to get it and with the other I'm still waiting RATS.
