This is so frustrating to me. I am a 67/laff working - working on 7 more laff points. While I'm doing that, I am workig on my last sound and tune up gag. Maxed in throw and squirt. Lure and trap in middle stages. Dreamland 5 stories are too easy. I have my cold caller suit. I feel ready to try the VP - but I can't get on the elevator! I went in once and 5 toons jumped off the bat. One toon and I went on one side - 1 little guy faced the other alone. It was awful! Seems like the only times I can play then my friends aren't on line. I'm tired of trying anymore. If I have a limited time to play - I can't waste an hour trying to get in. It stinks!
I haven't even gone to Cashbot yet - probably the same deal. |

I know the comment wasn't aimed at me, but if you truly want to play with non-uber low laffs to see what they are capable of, or as you said "low level toons that can kick the VP's butt" here are some codes:
For my 49 laff Mover and Shaker 9 whose 4 gag tracks are all currently level 5: gkv a6r For my 34 laff Cold Caller 5 whose gags are level 3 and 4: 8qk t2s I apologize profusely that I don't have a 25 laffer to take into the VP. I am currently working a 78 laff hard to get her last 13 promotions in cash HQ, working my 113 laff soundless toon on her RB suit trying to get a few more promos for her next laff boost, working my 73 laff finishing gags and working cash promotions, trying to finish 5500 merits on a 110 (formerly a sell uber until she hit HW) and getting close to 5500 on a 108, and doing CCG runs with my 119, otherwise I would work one of the 3 or 4 TTC toons on our accounts and get them their suits. As you can see, I don't play the 34 laffer much yet, and the 49 laffer is nearly 2 years old and rarely gets play time. However, feel free to PM me when you would like to play, and I will certainly try my best to accomodate you! Just a quick question, though... is this a challenge for a single event, or an offer of friendship? If it is to be a single event, what other toons will be joining us for the VP fight? If it is to be an offer of friendship, do you plan to go to CCG runs? Can't wait to here from ya!

Kehawin,
I'd love to add both secrets ![]() I didn't mean a single event, but more of a friendship. I'm really not as familiar with all the CCG strats since I have sat out for a while (more like 2 years instead of one) but all the concepts are simple. My toon is a level 4 or 5 telemarketer, but I'd be happy to go with you on a VP run. |

ummm.
I just had to give my opinion here...well here's the story...My friend got me started on toontown about 2 years ago. We weren't that great of fiends but she wanted me to play so I asked my parents (well i couldn't pay for it lol) and they said ya. While playing my friend and I became like the best of friends
. We played like nonstop and always helped eachother if we could. One day we were playing toontown during the summer and her mom took us to the pool. We sat there in the shallow water talking for like and hour about what we thought the vp was going to be like because neither of us had ever been there. So when we got home we both got on and we accidently got split up going in. We just went on by ourselves whipering to eachother about what was goin on the whole time. We both won the battles that day and guess what our laff points were...40, and neither of us had very good toons at all. The way we got through it was helpful toons. The point to my story is that everybody should have a chance and just because the 27 may have made a mistake he wanted to try and maybe like my friend and i his curiosity got the best of him. Also neither of us were with any friends but our fellow toons did what toontown is all about helped oneanother.

The problem with "little" toons in sell hq is that there is no way to know, besides checking gags, which is time-consuming, whether a toon is an uber toon or simply someone that is going to make you lose the battle. And even with good gags, There is still no guarantee that the player knows what he is doing in hq. You are not responding to the point that was made earlier of noobie toons who go places they are not equipped (gag-wise, laff-wise, or experience-wise) to handle, and then whine constantly to be tooned up. I have a tendancy to tell them, "sorry, i am busy fighting cogs," or" this is too risky for you." You obviously know what you are doing, but the majority of 27-pointers do not. They feel like just because they CAN fight the Vp, they are ready to jump right in there. And I really resent them "stinking " me because I do not feel suicidal enough to go with them. And the difference in the test server battles is that at least as far as I know, only experienced players are accepted for test toons. So the problem I mentioned of inexperienced players is not a factor there. And my final comment is that attacking someone who has a different opinion than yours only makes you seem small-minded and petty, not superior.

If you want victories in the VP and build your sell suit, then by all means check out the Cold Caller Guild. All toons are welcome. Neither laff or gags matter. It's always an awesome experience to successfully help the tinest laffer dance on to victory. Be sure to read their guidelines.
I myself have had the pleasure of having 25 laffers in my battles numerous times. Just this past weekend seven of us boarded the elevator to battle the VP. Six of us were Hollywoods. The seventh toon was a Cold Caller on her way to become a Telemarketer. She was a 16 laff with maxed throw and squirt. Of course, she was sided with only two of us during the skele round, but it all comes down to one thing....TEAMWORK. Then anything is possible. Hope to see you on one of the Cold Caller Guild runs. |

well excuse me... if you get in with 4 strong toons, than yes, take anybody 17 lf, 25 lf etc. But if you have a goup of 2 high lf and the rest of them are 25 to 55, than how are you going to keep them alive? It is ok to keep 40 - 60 alive, but one 18- 25 can put the whole group at risk. It might spice up the game a bit for bored 117 lf (I am a 100 lf, the Mingler 9, so not that bored yet), but other people whant to get their suits maxed. He is right it is putting a group at risk. And he didn't mentioned that it was an uber. What do you think is an uber? I've seen 18-27 lf with about 6 or 7 gags trying to VP. I bet they think they are ubers. (I've seen very few ubers so far). And then you lure and they throw their half pie! If you are an uber you need to max your gags somewhere else first, not on VP.
I agree it is annoying. If you are claiming you are an uber, than show us more than 6 gags. You are saying that everybody has to concentrate somehow on those low lfs and never mind other cold callers who want to get on with their promotions. PS Well said Madam S!!!! |

Though I've run with my 34 laff ubers and some 25 laff ubers I've had the pleasure of helping someone pull the ultimate VP coup, a 15 laff uber's first VP victory. Schweet!! It wasn't too difficult at all. The CCG strategy is an uber's friend. |
