advice pls + do not be rude!!

I am getting the hang of an operating a crane now. The only problem is actually pickig goons up. The magnet keeps swinging from side to side quite vigorously. Is’ there any way to slow it down a bit, to aim the right goon. I picked up a lot of live ones yesterday and they were difficult to hold on to. Any tips?

PS. I am not impressed with some sarcastic comments from a couple of Toons when my lure missed ONCE in a cog round. Like it has never happened to you! Excuse me, I might not be a perfect craner yet, but I know how to fight the cogs, so keep your nastiness to yourself! Especially when you didn't do a great job of stomping, whcih caused me to be knocked off the crane more then once just when I was about to throw a safe on the stunned CFO.
I went sad yesterday, but didn’t mind, used it as a training exercise. I left it too long on the crane and all the treasures have been gobbled up in front of my very eyes (literally snatched out of my mouth). Bon appetit!

Chill. I'm 116 and this still happens when I have'nt trained for awhile. That wild swing is hard, I have spent many hours using it then losing it. No real secert, you need to keep playing it until you get that swing, every computer differant, one of my friends could'nt get that swing down for a long time, then you just know that and help. I am really saying, keep trying, you will get it!

thanks, that gives me some hope... It was my 2nd time on a crane. I could be that the 3rd time is lucky! Although you said it took you hours. Oh maaaaan! But at least I know it's not something to do with my computer. As I understand everybody has the same problem at the beggining, right? The actuall throw is not hard, but i find it difficult to actually grab a goon (a safe is easy enough)...

Well, Some people in the C.F.O tend to be a little on the rude side if your gag misses every now and then. But cogs are cogs and gags are gags they both miss every now and then. Don't worry about the crane it took me awhile to get the hang of it as well. The best one is the one by the door you came in on your right. I always use that one and don't have too many problems. When you get onto the crane say the C.F.O phrase "Please disable the goons" And most of the time one of the toons disabling goons will happily come and knock them out for you. As they knock out goons you grab the one who is lying down and hold it for a few seconds until your magnet is centered an not swinging like a vine. Once you have your magnet in place just wait until he is at a good spot and swing. It is quite difficult to keep from swinging spontainiously but eventually you get the feel of it.

You can calm the left/right swing by tapping the crane left and right aalong with the swing. If it's swinging right, tap right. If it's swinging left, tap left. Continue to follow the swing in ths manner and it will calm quickly. A little swing is OK, with a little practice you can compensate on the frontward attack swing.

As a beta tester

we had to test that swing and we could go in without a suit during testing so us big beta guys spent alot of hours prefecting the swing, like you said you only had two chances, well we had 100+ and everytime they tweaked beta we had to relearn it, and then on open it was differant too, so I had to relearn that crazy swing. The hardest part for me was picking up guys close to the pan, because just when I learned how to control that wild swing, I needed it to pick up those guys. Your doing fine, more practice that's all you need.

Advice

To pick up the goons that toons disable right away place the magnet in the center then try to get it.

If you want to pick up a goon, live or dead, follow these instructions. Bring your crane all the way back so it is like about to breeak off. Then stop pressing th ack key and move your crane so that it faces the goon that you want to hit but you havent attempted yet. Then, floor it forward and hold ctrl and you will pick up the goon. Live ones, are a whole nother story. I have successfully defeated a CFO using only live goons to attack him with my friends. All you do is keep tapping ctrl until you are about to break it off like when you are getting ready to pick up a dead goon. Once you are in that position, continue to rapidly press ctrl and move forward. When you normally throw a dead goon, throw the live goon. It can still hurt him, and does not do less damage. I use the swinging action when i want to hit him with a safe to knock off another safe. I put the safe in front of my crane and go forward and back a couple of times so that it is wildly swinging and floor it forward and pull the safe with me and release. This is not from a maxed toon, this is from an RB 45 lol. What's the difference? Um...not much but I cant get my final 5! I hope you keep winning in the CFO. I can help you for 4 more CFOs but unless you wanna wait for me to get 8900 or CFO without me until I get 8900, I will be pretty useless. But when I get my final 8900 and CFOO, RB 50 AND 111! Anyone wanna proofread that for me? xD
