Leviticus Maximus Solos the VP

It wasn't pretty.

I had lure miss 14 different times.

Blue magnet, $10 bill and goggles missed seven times in a row.

By the time I made it to the VP i only had 43 laff.

The VP jumped three times max and I only missed three chances stunning him.

He got a little feisty towards the end but after I got him down the ramps the conclusion was inevitable.

All in all I think I did a lousy job managing my SOS and TOW. I have no TOW tune up left and never used an SOS lure or heal.

Below is a quick recap:

Right off the bat my first hose and two of three pianos miss.

I've only killed two cogs and I'm already down to twelve laff. I use TOW tune up and keep the three little cogs on the left alive.

I finish the first battle but at a high cost in TOW tune. I am nervous about the next battle but know I have Bessie and Clara in my pocket.

I use Flim Flam in hopes the cogs will miss two rounds so that at can use Clara at minimal loss... It doesn't really work out.

In the end I am down to 43 LAFF and have to either lure or kill the last three cogs. Under pressure I completely forgot about Lil Oldman and Flippy which I have used zero times. This is the vp after one stun. I was able to back him up to the ramp.

Getting him down the first ramp was the most nerve wracking part. While he is on the ramp, I can only stun him from the back and have to run around to hit him. It helped me when he turned around. Here you can see my stunning teqhnique. (My wife hit the F9 on this shot.)The pie did not hit him because it was in camera mode.

The VP succumbs to LM's undeniable ability to make even the staunchest cog laff at his gags. He goes into the valley where he can laugh in private. I took this last shot a little early. I did not have one gag with over 18 experience points.

By the end of the battle I was pretty excited and my hands were shaking on the keyboard.

It was satisfying to win and a little disconcerting to see how many TOW I used.

Well.... The VP is done and the CFO better watch his back, 'cause a little blue dog is gunnin' for 'em.

Very nice!

Great job Leviticus Maximus!!!

When I got a 'happy face' signal from you, I knew that you did it. I'm so happy for you. All the hard works that you and Annatasia had put on now all paid off. My hat off to both of you.

Lm - You Rock !!!!!!!!!!!!!

LM,

Most EXCELLENT Work........ Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment!!! I personally think that the new VP with the the facing backwards is actually harder than the original VP that I beat some time ago now. I am green with envy!!!

You didn't happen to do this yesterday did you? Because you did seem unusually excited when you were speedchatting me while I was racing. Had I known, I would have celebrated with you on the traditional trolley ride. I guess that is why you ask to go on the trolley. Sorry I didn't figure it out, I guess I can be dense at times.

I must admit from reading your post, I can honestly say that you have come up with the most unique approach to soloing the VP.
I have never heard of anyone using COG MISS (Flim Flam) during a solo VP. Truely you have developed a new solo technique and I guess we will have to name it the LM GamePlan. I, myself, would be a little resistant from employing the LM GamePlan but I'm willing try anything at least once.

Any idea how many TU TOW you actually used? Just curious. I completely understand how you can get in there and just start to lose you gameplan and brute force your way through. I've done that on more than one occasion.

Congratulations again on this most excellent accomplishment!!!!!!

Thanks Andrew, but please do not name it after me..... it stunk!!!!

My recommendation is do NOT employ this strategy. I guess looking back I should given it a test before the actual VP solo. Oh well... live and learn LOL

In answer to your question i used:

TOW
Tune 10 - 3
Tune 20 - 4
Tune 40 - 1
Tune 80 - 5
Tune Max - 4

Total of 550 + 4 maxes

Tow Squirt 1
Tow Throw 2
Tow Drop 1
Tow Lure 3

SOS
Barnacle Bessy - 2
Clerk Clara - 2
Flim Flam - 2 and learned my lesson after that

WOW!!!!! That's a lot of TU TOW !!!! I must admit, though, that I probably used as much on some of my runs also. It's so much easier to just blast your way through brute force. Also, I tend to panic when things don't go well and start to make silly mistakes. I would say that LURE missing 16 times would be a time to panic.

I'll remove the Flim Flam Cog Miss strategy from my solo portfolia. I still chuckle when I re-read your post. It's amazing someone of your experience would use a Flim Flam during a solo. If nothing else, the move did provide for quite a bit of entertainment for me. Thanks for the laugh. (I won't bring it up again, I promise).

Good Luck on your CFO solo. I'm assuming that you will be training for that one shortly and I'm sure that it will go well for you. Let me know if you need any help. I'll be more than happy to help. I've been spending quite a bit of time on test building up a toon to a decent level and I think I'm about there. I will probably be back on open builidng up andrew's TU TOW stock.

Congratulations again on your most excellent solo victory.

Cogratulations. Awesome job!!! I'll bet it was pretty tense starting the pie fight at 43 laff after all that work. It looks like you lost only 14 points which is great.

Did you run out of TU TOW during COG fight?

I didn't realize that you went in to the PIE fight with only 43 laff. Was that because you didn't have any more TU TOW left and/or didn't use your toon-up SOS Cards?

Did you have any TU TOW left in case you needed them during the PIE Fight?

I was amazed before just knowing that you beat the new backwards turning VP. Knowing that you did it with only 43 laff makes it magnitudes more difficult.

You ROCK !!!!!
