Angry Problems with NEW VP

I am sure many have noticed the new design in the VP. The mirrored (reflecting) floor at the bottom. How ever, this NEW VP is NOT working as it should. Proof is below. I have several other toons witness to this also. Pictures are below. If anyone else is expierenceing this, please send in a bug report.

I recommened to the developers to switch back to the old VP until the bugs were sorted out as it is a waste of time, gags, etc. They should have had this new design on Test before releasing it. But they didnt!

Maybe it is something about the district, because when I go on CCG runs in districts other than the busiest one, I have not witnessed any of thes bugs. Maybe it is someting having to do with the stress put on the server. I don't know. Either way, you should send a bug report to Disney.

Weird, I don't remember the VP getting a new look. Anyway just report that to toontown, I'm sure they'll fix it.

It has been on test, just not long enough apparently. Don't know how many VP/CFOs were being done on test since they put out the new code base.

Hmm, thats funny, because I have not seen that design on test. I have a test account. Odd I think.

Maybe it's a feature

The reason that the pies had no effect is because the VP is facing backwards and you have to hit the VP on his front side to push him when he is stunned.

I've noticed this on test also but just assumed it was a 'new feature' of the VP to change things up a little.

When this happens, you need to go around and push back on the other side when he is stunned.

On test, he can flip back and forth and you need to keep an eye on which way he is facing.

I've also seen the VP facing down when he wasn't stunned and gears are sent down the ramp instead of up, so keep an eye out for that.

I haven't vp'd in awhile, not only because I HATE the vp (it's agravatingly glitchy) but because geting merits for it is annoyingly difficult. So I haven't seen this. I'm not sure if that backwards thing is bad or not, the angle would be easier is better from the bottom of the ramp (not for inside the doors, the vp himself)

I was concerned about this when I did a couple of VP's. It seemed random which side he was facing and also which side you had to pie him from. It seemed to me that even when facing backwards most of the time he could still be pied from the normal direction. However there was definately one point where the yellow splats were only in the rear. I also observed that if this occured on the ramps it seemed impossible to get a high enough arc on the pie to hit his body. (looney's second picture is the one that concerns me) I'm not really positive about any of this and I think we all will have to make more observations. It still seemed like he reversed directions frequently, so you would only have a pause in progress not a complete end to it. My first experience with this was myself and one other toon. We won that pie fight, so it is clearly not impossible, but might just be somewhat more difficult.

Edit: Look for Yellow splats from either side, since those are the only ones that will push him back. White splats do nothing.

I dont even know how many bug reports I have personally sent on test regarding this BUGGY VP ,but there have been many. I dont think that this "update" was anywhere near ready for open. I had a hard time believing they would release this on open without getting the bugs out, after all, thats why they have test. Im going to try and VP and CFO again on test tonight, and see if any of this has gotten better, and will let ppl know what they can expect, since Disney has seen fit to release this to the general public.

Skip

Another thing about this update, you can no longer use ; : " { [ ] } ( ) or almost any punctuation, without it being filtered. Not really sure why this is either, but I know a lot of toons that thought that ppl were ignoring them, when in fact, they were just not seeing the whispers. Several ppl I know put smilies in their whispers all the time, and if you do that now, it will be filtered.

Thats what happened to me earlier we got him to that point and he would not move he was also facing backwards and I ended up going sad.
Atleast its not as bad like it was a year or so ago when you would lose cog parts even when you won.

About that. I feel as most toons who I am SF with, if you are SF, then NOTHING should be filtered. You CAN specify filter properties through your book. Be that as it may, you should not be filtered. I think its just wrong. I know this is Disney, but filtering OUR text is going against our right of freedom of speech.

Yeah, ok fine, so they changed it. But if you noticed the second picture, while he is on that ramp, if you have to hit him from the bottom, you CANNOT get a high enough arch to hit him.

Also, WHY DIDNT they post on the TT site these NEW changes? Why dont they update their KNOWN ISSUES?

And why is it when you go to play.toontown.com/reportBug.php?reportproblem=1

Your browser freezes?

After VP'ing last night I'm pretty sure that some push back pie's were hitting from both sides on the same stun. Also some would get yellow splats, and some would get white splats from the same side on the same stun. Can anyone else verify this?

Remember to look for the color yellow and not just the pie hitting.
