I would have agreed to the "long run" argument but there are a number of counter claims out there saying doing a short run w/ one extra set of cogs will gather merits faster than doing a long run.

My friends and I do short runs. Most often we glitch thru and skip the warehouse which gives you 100 merits and takes less than a third of the time. If you have 4 toons you can go 4 or 5 runs without re-gagging which is even quicker. I am a convert and will never go back to long runs!

I do the warehouse of course if there is a random with us. I never glitch thru unless the rest of the team does it first, just in case anyone wondered

Another way is to do 5 story Sell bldgs in DDL. Alot more merits than with the factory.

The down side: You can't do them alone like you can the factory.

The other downside to 5 story sells, there are not enough of them. With 4 people looking, sometimes you can find one in a few minutes, other times you can't at all. For consistancy, I just did factories, took 3 weeks to go through the the hollys.

Interesting. I'm still a n00b here (and in the game) so I'll watch this thread. I've done "long way" up to the Two-Face thinking it was better to grab more merits at once.

It's not quite necessary doing long run is better. I have done both long and short. To be honest, I love the short run better when I have a lot of merits to do. Usually, if I am with my sfs, I don't mind doing a long run because we can talk and time passed by quicker. If I am with random toons and am getting tired, I just wish that there's someone just feel like doing a very short run. If I have no one on (I am the late night merits grabber), I will just have to go into the factory myself, and probably rather just do the long run since I don't really want to keep running back and forth to regag. It is really depends what you like to do.

Before I finished my sell suit, I came to the conclusion that solo merits should be a full factory and group runs should be 120s. I had one friend that I did 100s with and we could smoke through merits going that route.

The most important thing with group runs, long or short, is that everyone has to be on the same page--stay focused; no chit chat; no waiting on friends between runs; just get down to business, and get it done. If someone finishes their merits, then they need to go vp and not expect anyone to change toons to go with them.

I will always go to a vp with someone that finishes their merits but I do understand your thinking of getting them done and dont rely on others to
stop getting theirs because you have finished.

Lets go ...Bring it on!

Count me in for short runs.
I would agree, as long as you are on same page with others, friends hopefully, things go way faster and smoother. However, I fail to see how a little chit chat is gonna slow anyone down. LOL:xmas16:
