I saw first hand why MH and RB get such a bad rep sometimes..

I have seen it on the threads but never before have I actually fallen victim to the MH shuffle I have heard so much about.

Yesterday I went to the busy district and went to the VP lobby. There were tons of people and I got on the elevator and waited for the shuffle but there wasn't any! We had SC 1 up to a MH 40 something. We went in with 8 and came out with 8 and it was a blast! Ok, I'm going to test my luck again...hmm. I get my merits and go back to the busy district and this time there were about 6 SC 1s and 2s, 2 cat MH in the 40s and me, name dropper level 6. I get on the elevator first and all the SC follow then one of the MH get on. Cool. Then the MH jumps off and we all stayed (I thought that was pretty cool, no panic, everyone willing to go with 7). Then the other cat gets on and the timer gets down to 10 when he jumps off and both MH cats stand so you can't see the timer or if anyone else jumped. Anyway, after a bit it was obvious to me that even I could not find any good in these two rascals and they were there just to be irritating. Luckily in walks an MH 50 who gets on with us and we get to go. Again, 8 go up and 8 came out!
I point out that it was an MH because she rocked and hopefully let these SC players know that not all big suits are these 2 stinky cats. I guess my point is if I didn't know any better I may never get on the elevator with an MH again! Luckily I do know better and love my MH friends but wow, you guys must put up with a lot when all you want to do is VP.

I feel sort of guilty...

I sometimes walk in as a HW (just became one--such pride in myself, finally after 1 1/2 years im a HW xD), and just stand there. I think Im sort of mean to lead others on.

And I ditch sometimes...I guess since it used to happen to me, and happens to my brothers 70 laff toon (I try and get him with good groups, even though he is older than me xD), and people always ditch! So whoever invented that concept...its useful...sort of, but mean.

I haven't been able to VP as a HW yet, but I cant wait! As a Mingler I did become a magnet to newbies...and I do admit I ditched. But like I said. I feel guilty to do that now.

Ya it's useful but annoying. I wish Disney would fix glitches(especially the VP elevator) and have an overhead view with the timer in a corner.

I just don't understand why toons ditch. Sure, a lot of it is because they don't want to go with lower suits/laff/gags because they are afraid that will jeopardize their win. Well, having all high suit/laff/gags doesn't guarantee a win. It may better your chance slightly but that's about all. Live a little, jump on an elevator with a group lower than you and don't ditch them. I've done it and it's a hoot.

Yes I have done that too ^^

its a great way to make friends, I really enjoy helping newer players :P

But sometimes my sfs and I cant get in...too many new players jump in with us and at least one of us cant get in and it takes too long to get a group, so we resort to ditching...

Please stop complaining about us, we are only minding our own business or trying to help you. So please, toons under 70, do NOT try the VP. And toons under 90, do NOT try the CFO.

> "... you low laff toons steal the spots of our teams!"

That's not a good reason when the so-called team is meeting up in an already crowded district.

If said team is meeting in a lightly populated district they may have more justification; but this same thing happens in all the medium to heavily populated districts. No one in such a district can expect to jump on only with selected players.

Take your team to a light district if you want a specific group!

Cheers,
Martek

Ok, I'm going to tell you the newbs wway of life(i kno im a 106 laffer but have a 54 laffer and hasnt vped cuz of stupid ppl dont toon me up BUT neways...)

How do u think you got to be a Holly? You think its easy being a newb?Im a 54 laffer (second highest toon) and i get in and ppl say "I think this is too risky for you."Well HELLO!! Im a 106 laffer and Im experinced!!And wut about low laffers?I saw a 28 laffer Name Dropper!Maxxed gags and all.But if u see a low laffer, think,'How did this lil guy get in with all thos 10 facts he had to do?'(10 if he facted to get 20 merits)
It just gets me SO steamed wen ppl dont give others a chance!I see over 3 Holly's in a crowded dist in V.P. and I see them ditch.Ok, I stand there just to see if newbs really care, then I leave!I don't stand there and stand there....and stand there wasting my time showing off newbs.Just go in and fight! This isnt a contest on saying 'OOhhh AAhh!!Im a 100 laffer!!' thats not the point! The point of being a 100 laffer is saying I accomplished this Toontown and I'm reay for anything! Not, Im a 100 laffer your not nah nah nah boo boo you cant catch me!!

So 100 laffers I think you should just look around and see how it is to the newbs.Dont say their dirt and dont say thier a waste of time. You were there too.Every1 has been there. And I bet you didnt like it when you were a newb!Take the time to think about how they feel.Get V.P. over with...your not gonig to spend your life in front of Toontown so I think you should have fun with it!

So, if you see a Mini Me 54 laffer or higher PLZ help her!!And it's not only me to help, help the ones in need!If you see a 50 laffer or lower or w/e is in the elv. dont sit there point and laff!Get your toony moving and get it in there!Stand up for newbs!

Thank you and have a nice day.

I believe those are your reasons for ditching.

I don't believe that ditching a toon simply because they have lower laff than you is valid or that you're trying to protect them from something that "we know you are going to die from". I've taken 15 laffers with level 2 gags through the factory and WE ALL DANCED with no problems what so ever. I've also taken toons as low as 35 through the mints with the same result. I believe that you're actually trying to save yourself the hassle of helping those lower in laff through a challenging situation. I also think you won't VP or CFO with those under a specific laugh because you don't want the possiblity of losing and having to do it all over again. I first CFO'd under 90. I had the suit, so who was to say I couldn't go just because I was under a specific laugh? No one. In the time I've been CFO'ing and VP'ing I've found that it's not the laff level of the toons you play with that matter. It's how well they play period. I've played with some 117's that played a lot worse than the 35 laffer standing next to us in battle.

Level of laff doesn't make the player.

my experience with my little toon

I went my first 2 times with my smaller toon of 3 toons, the first, 2 times I went... no problem. Wonderful team!! The third time, another group.. there was a shuffle so I was curious. I boarded by myself, and the higher suits came. Once one of the other smaller toons came on, they jumped saying no. I looked.. why was this happening. Not suit size, not laff, not even really gags... but gag selection. Once we went the group was wonderful and made sure I made it. They were not being mean, it was a case of bringing the right gags... meaning full gags, and not just whatever you are working. (they were also ditching 100+ laff, because of not having all his gags) The moral in this look around is it you they are ditching or is there a reason they are ditching someone else.
