Before I go to DDL, I always disable the background music because the louder chords get stuck playing that horrible WUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH noise. Sometimes it goes away within seconds, sometimes it takes over an hour... sometimes I get so annoyed I just close the window in frustration.

I've found that it happens in many places:
On the CFO elevator After beating CFO/VP TP'ing to Brrgh Getting into battles in the mints Getting into battles in DDL TP'ing to Goofy Speedway There's others, but cannot remember them right now. However...there is a fix. Most types of the "Chord of Death" do go away by themselves. Just walk into a DDL street and run around a bit. I've found that the chord dies off on its own easily during runs through PJ Place to CBHQ. It usually takes about a minute. For the rare persistent one, I just log off TT and reboot. |

This is a problem that has been ther from the start of toontown.
And affects most people who play, I now played windowed and play music from an external source, and switch music off. As far as I know there is no fix for this problem. And to earlier poster, this is probably 6th thread started on this subject over past 2 years, i even started one a while back. 'Keep it Kool '

i created a solution for this a year ago. To fix this problem:
1. Download -rcv-'s toontown windowed zip Toontown Windowed (etc.) 2. in the folder, double click on the file hw_midi. then after that, all the problems should go away, plus new sounds that everyone else hears. NOTE: the resolution might change, but you can change it back in the options. |

I've noticed what happens. It all starts in Donald's Dreamland. A small chord will stay playing if you exit the playground at the wrong time. Then, that chord makes certain music stick. I've found one way, and one way only to get it to stop.
Go to a street in Donald's Dreamland. Once it gets to a certain part in the music, the music sticking will magically go away.
