Well in my opinion anyone who has managed to get past LOM tasks has business in vp and that may mean 64 laff, and I doubt 8 64 laffers could beat vp. I mean it would be hard, if so. Anyways, are you saying experienced toons shouldn't go with low laffers? I mean, if I'm in a vp with a 50 laffer I don't bail becuase I think they might be using me. I also don't take time to ponder whether or not they could do it with 7 other 50 laffers. Honestly, all laffs have just got to work together.

Was that question directed toward me? Cause that wasn't what I was saying at all. I don't take laff into consideration when I'm looking for a group. I've gone with toons who were in the 30's before. And btw, I totally think a group of 64 laffers could beat the vp, as long as their gags were decent and they played intelligently. In fact, I believe there is a super/uber group within the CCG that does it all the time with way less laff than that.

Nope, it sure wasn't.

Lol, okay. It was posted right after mine, so I wasn't sure. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't accidentally sounding like I wouldn't go with low laffers or something

hey hey -- well, this is something I've been running into a lot lately with Little Flip --- I'm bored at 106, so I've been hopping around just looking to help out wherever ... the past 2 days, I've run into several tunes ranging from 46-56 in laff, and for some reason, they think I'll do all the work in a building... I've even let the clock tick down to 1 sec before choosing a gag, and still they just stand there, maybe throwing in a slice or a squirt here and there ... what is going on?!

Call me crazy but maybe they were waiting to see what you were going to choose since your gag would be more powerful and it would be better to combine the two.

As much as I would like to agree 100% with your post, I can only go to 99%. If I agreed any more than that, I'd be a hypocrite. Let's be realistic people, how many of us when we were in our 60s or lower in vp lobby actually got on the elevator with 7 other toons the same as us? I don't think so. For any body who may have answered that TRUTHFULLY, only about 10% would honestly say that they did get on with toons just like them rather than wait for higher laffs to join them. I, myself, didn't even get on the elevator when I was in my 60's unless honestly, there were at least 2-4 other higher laffs with me because unless the toons around my laff and suit were my sfs or uber toons, I didn't have a chance of surviving. Here's another thing for ya, many of the lower laffs in there came by themselves and they are not stupid. They know that they don't have a chance of surviving unless they have maybe at least 1 higher laff with them... and that's still a maybe. That higher laff with them would have to be there to be the "captain" so to speak of the group during battle. That's the way it is. Its no different with the high laffers. We don't want to get on with 7 other low laffers simply because that's too big of a risk. The lower laffs are the same way. They are not dumb... although they can act like it, they most certainly are not. I know it's very aggravating though to have to shuffle until you get what you want on the elevator, but the way we should look at it is... hey, we wouldn't do it either. Place ourselves in their shoes.

Regarding the "Unite" phrases... oh man, I agree with ya totally on that one. I can't tell ya how many times I've wasted a unite phrase trying to be nice and get no thank you's in return. Nothing. I've also had a few "noobs" come up to me and tell me they need jbs and ask if I can help them with that. When I tell them "Sorry, I can't!" because I have no unites at the moment, I get stunk to no end! It's ridiculous. Some lower laffs do not understand how we get them and they do not know how long it may have taken for us to get them (tough battles sometimes)... they just assume since we're high laff, that we get them handed to us on a silver platter and its no biggie to hand them out... well it is. Honestly, if someone ever is nice enough to use a unite phrase on you, common courtesy would be to thank them because they most certainly didn't have to help you out by doing that. We only get them so often people. Please be nice enough to thank us when we use them on you. Gwen

When my toon was 60 laff I didn't dare go to the VP! That was before SHQ was downgraded. But that's besides the point. I starting VPing at roughly 75 laff. If memory serves correctly, I remember that I was only VPing with sf's so that means no one was above 100. They were my sfs, though, so laff didn't matter to me. If we didn't have enough people on board any random toons would do fine. So basically I was pretty stupid and didn't care who was on the elevator just as long as it was full. So.. I'm not the best example. I basically kept on going even though most of the time I lost. Sometimes I was smart enough to call a few "better" sf's though. XD

Your right and due to a purple cat that reminds of an evil prospector in Toy Story 2 due to the name, I lost a 2-story Lawbot building. I can't handle the other 2-story buildings, but Lawbot with a moocher? 4 Lawbots have sound attacks. That's a good example right there.

If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Sure, having all toons your laff (all 60- laff) might be a challenge but you'll have to work it out! The high laffers work hard to get there and that means that you can't just count on them to be there when you need a toon-up or a gag restock.

I've seen a 65 laff cold caller not want to go with a group of cold callers. Why not? They were about his laff, so what's wrong with that picture? You have to be willing to take a chance in the VP nowadays. It used to be that if you lost you went sad, lost your gags, AND had to recover up to 4 lost suit parts. You have to be able to trust other toons. I suggest to stay out of the VP unless you are positive that you could survive with seven other toons like yourself in the VP.

I've also noticed that some toons come to the VP lobby with barely any laff and NO gags. Are they purposely doing this? Is that some kind of sick, twisted joke? Or do they really have no idea how difficult it can be to fight the VP without any gags? Even downgraded, the VP can be pretty hard if you don't work together like a team.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind going with a group of all 60-70 laffers. My point is that toons should stay out until they're sure they can handle it. I know that I'm probably gonna get flamed for saying this. I know that "low laffers paid for Toontown too!" and that they "have a right to explore!" What I'm trying to say is that low laffers need to be able to go with toons their own laff instead of depending on the higher laffers. I know about uber and super noobs but that's a different story entirely. Their gags prove that they can handle the big cogs and know how to play. Regular low laffers aren't aware of the powerful skelecog attacks or how to avoid the VP's attacks in the pie throw. Not all of them are this way but most are.

I am aware that there are many threads like this. I know that I have changed my opinion on this subject many MANY times. However, I am sure that many people (particularly high laffers) will agree with me when I say that we are taken for granted. We try and be nice to the lower toons and give them a "Toons of the World Spend Wisely". What's their response? "Thanks! One more?/Play again?"

</mini.rant>
What exactly do you have against noobs? In the vp I bet a noob isn't aware of a skelecogs powerful attacks or how to avoid the vp's attacks in the pie throw because we are still learning!!! I mean really cut us some slack.

Honey, next time try to read at least the first post in this thread so you can have a decent feel as to what is going on in this thread before you post something that isn't fully based on the point at hand. Better luck next time though... you meant well... you meant well. Gwen
